Skrill casino apps let you pay from a Skrill e-wallet instead of handing your bank card to the casino, and among the five UK apps we cover, Casumo publishes Skrill for both deposits and withdrawals. The catch is bonuses: Coral and Ladbrokes exclude Skrill deposits from their welcome spins, so the method you pick first matters.
Casumo lists Skrill for deposits and withdrawals; 10bet is reported to accept it; Coral and Ladbrokes don’t publish it.
Coral and Ladbrokes welcome spins exclude Skrill deposits, so use a debit card if you want those offers.
Casumo states e-wallet payouts land instantly once a withdrawal is approved; approval itself can take longer.
Skrill’s own fees (currency conversion, inactivity, some loads and withdrawals) sit outside the casino’s fee policy.
A Skrill wallet funded by a credit card still can’t be used to gamble in Great Britain.

How Skrill works inside a casino app
Skrill is an e-wallet: an account that holds money separately from your bank, which you top up and then spend online. When you pick Skrill in a casino app’s cashier, the app hands you over to Skrill to approve the payment, then returns you to the cashier with the balance updated. The casino sees your Skrill account, not your card or bank details. It belongs to the Paysafe group, which also runs Neteller and paysafecard, and it started life in 2001 under the name Moneybookers, a name that still appears in some casino terms.
On a phone there are two ways the hand-off happens. If the Skrill app is installed, the payment screen may open it so you can confirm with your PIN or biometrics. If not, a Skrill log-in window loads inside the casino app, and you sign in with your email and password plus any security code Skrill asks for. Either way you only come back to the casino once Skrill has approved the payment, which is why a slow Skrill log-in looks like a frozen cashier.
Skrill is one of several e-wallet casino apps options alongside PayPal and Neteller. The e-wallet model suits people who want gambling money kept in its own pot, away from their main current account, and who like seeing every casino payment listed in one wallet history.
A casino app is a front end to the same account as the casino’s website, so any Skrill deposit made in the app shows on the website too, under the same limits and verification status.

How to deposit with Skrill in a casino app
The exact labels vary between apps, but the sequence is close to this on both iPhone and Android.
Top up your Skrill wallet first, from a debit card or bank transfer, in the Skrill app. A wallet loaded from a credit card can’t be used to gamble in Great Britain.
Open the casino app, log in, and tap your balance or the Deposit button, usually at the top right.
Choose Skrill from the list of methods. If you can’t see it, the app doesn’t offer it to your account.
Type the amount. Check it against any deposit limit you have set, because the cashier will refuse anything above it.
Approve the payment in the Skrill window or app, using your password, PIN, Face ID or fingerprint as Skrill asks.
Wait to be returned to the cashier. The balance normally updates within seconds; if it hasn’t, check your Skrill history before trying again.
The name on your Skrill account must match the name on your casino account. A mismatch is a common reason for a declined payment or a later withdrawal hold, because UK casinos must stop third-party funding. If you’re making your very first payment, the walkthrough on making a first deposit in a casino app covers the screens before the cashier, including verification.
Withdrawing to Skrill from your phone
UK casinos run closed-loop payments: money normally goes back to the method you deposited with, before anything else. If you paid in with Skrill, expect the app to offer Skrill as the withdrawal route, or to require it for at least the amount you deposited.
Make sure your account is verified. Upload any ID the app asks for before requesting money out, not after.
Tap your balance, then Withdraw. Some apps put this under Account, then Banking or Cashier.
Pick Skrill and enter the amount, staying above any minimum the cashier shows.
Confirm. The request moves to pending while the casino’s team reviews it.
Once approved, the money appears in your Skrill wallet; from there you can move it to your bank in the Skrill app.
Since 31 October 2021 a UK casino can’t let you reverse a withdrawal to keep playing, so once you confirm, that money is on its way out. Full detail on the review stage is in our guide on how to withdraw from casino apps.
How fast Skrill casino app payouts are
A Skrill payout has two clocks. The first is the casino’s review, which nobody outside the operator controls. The second is the transfer to Skrill, which is usually quick for e-wallets. Published figures from our partners, all treated as typical rather than promised:
App
Review stage
After approval
Casumo
Reviewed within hours, per its site; policy allows up to 3 days
Skrill: instant
10bet
Not published separately
E-wallets: up to 2 business days
Coral / Ladbrokes
Internal review first
Skrill not published
PlayOJO

Check the cashier
A request made late on a Friday can sit until the review team works through the weekend queue, and a first withdrawal often triggers extra checks. If yours is stuck, our casino app withdrawal pending guide lists what to check. For a wider comparison of methods, see fast payout casino apps.
Skrill fees and casino fees
Two fee policies apply. The casino’s: Casumo charges £3 on withdrawals under £10 and nothing at £10 or more; Coral and Ladbrokes state they charge no withdrawal fees; 10bet and PlayOJO don’t publish a fee figure. Then Skrill’s own schedule, which differs by country and changes from time to time.
Paying a merchant from your wallet is usually free, but loading the wallet by some methods can carry a charge.
Moving money from Skrill to your bank can carry a fee depending on the route you choose.
Currency conversion costs a few per cent, so keep the wallet in pounds if the casino account is in pounds.
A monthly service fee can apply if you don’t log in or transact for a long stretch, so an idle wallet slowly loses value.
Skrill and welcome offer exclusions
This is the part people miss. Many UK operators exclude e-wallet deposits from welcome offers, and two of ours do so by name. Coral’s offer (18+, new players, bet £10 on slots for 100 free spins at 10p each, no wagering on spin winnings) lists Skrill among the methods that don’t qualify. Ladbrokes (18+, new customers, spend £10 on slots for up to 500 free spins over 10 days at 10p each, no wagering) excludes Skrill and also names Moneybookers, Skrill’s old brand.
The practical rule: if you want one of those offers, make the qualifying deposit with an eligible debit card, then decide later whether to add Skrill. Bear in mind that Coral and Ladbrokes limit UK accounts to three active payment methods in a rolling 30 days. Our page on payment method exclusions explains why operators do this and how to spot it in the terms before you tap Deposit.
Casumo’s 50% match up to £100 (18+, new customers, opt-in, £20 minimum deposit, wager the bonus 10x within 7 days, £5 max bet) says game, play and payment restrictions apply. Read the full terms in the app before using Skrill for that deposit.
Is it safe to use Skrill on casino apps?
Skrill is a regulated electronic money business, and the casinos it pays are licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. The main security gain is that your card number never reaches the casino. The main risk is the wallet log-in itself, because anyone who gets into your Skrill account can spend from it.
Turn on two-step verification in the Skrill app and use a unique password.
Use Face ID or fingerprint unlock in both the Skrill app and the casino app; our guide to enabling Face ID on casino apps shows where the setting lives.
Approve only payments you started. A Skrill approval request you didn’t trigger is a warning sign.
Avoid making payments on public Wi-Fi without mobile data as a fallback.
Card and bank details stay with Skrill, not the casino.
Casumo publishes instant Skrill payouts after approval.
One wallet history shows every gambling payment in one place.
Biometric approval in the Skrill app keeps phone payments quick.
Drawbacks
Excluded from Coral and Ladbrokes welcome spins.
Only some UK apps list it, and two of our partners don’t publish it.
Skrill’s own charges for conversion, inactivity and some transfers.
Two apps and two log-ins to manage on your phone.
Using Skrill to keep a gambling budget
Some players load a set amount into Skrill each month and treat that as the whole gambling budget. It can help, but it isn’t a limit: you can top up the wallet again in seconds. Pair it with a deposit limit inside the casino app, which the operator must honour, and treat any money you deposit as the cost of entertainment, because over time the house edge means you are likely to lose more than you win.
The casino app limits guide explains how deposit limits, reality checks and time-outs work in each app. If gambling stops feeling like a choice, the National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133, day and night, and GAMSTOP blocks all UK-licensed gambling sites and apps at once. Our responsible gambling page lists the other support available.
Where to use Skrill in a UK casino app
Casumo is the clearest Skrill match among our partners because it names Skrill for deposits and withdrawals; 10bet is reported to accept it, and PlayOJO’s cashier is worth checking. All are UKGC-licensed, 18+ only, and every welcome offer has terms, including payment restrictions, that you should read in the app before your first Skrill deposit.
These apps don’t list Skrill as an excluded method in their headline terms, unlike Coral and Ladbrokes. 18+, terms apply: Casumo’s bonus carries payment restrictions and PlayOJO doesn’t publish its method list, so confirm in the cashier first.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use Skrill on UK casino apps?
Yes, at some of them. Skrill is accepted by a number of UK-licensed casinos, but not all, and the list changes. Among the apps we cover, Casumo names Skrill for deposits and withdrawals, 10bet is reported to take Skrill deposits, and Coral and Ladbrokes don’t publish it in their help centres. The cashier inside each app shows what your account can use today. If Skrill isn’t listed, a debit card or PayPal are the usual alternatives; our e-wallet casino apps page compares them.
Do Skrill deposits qualify for casino app welcome bonuses?
Often not. Many UK operators exclude e-wallet deposits from welcome offers. Coral’s 100 free spins offer and Ladbrokes’ up-to-500 free spins offer both name Skrill as a non-qualifying method, and Ladbrokes also lists Moneybookers, Skrill’s former name. Casumo’s 50% match says payment restrictions apply, so you need to read its full terms. If you want a welcome offer, make the first deposit with an eligible debit card. Our payment method exclusions guide explains how to spot these clauses. 18+, terms apply.
How long does a Skrill withdrawal from a casino app take?
Usually a few hours to two business days, once the casino approves it. Casumo publishes Skrill payouts as instant after approval, with its review normally taking hours but allowed up to three days under its policy. 10bet says e-wallet payouts can take up to two business days. The wait you notice is mostly the casino’s review, plus any verification checks on a first withdrawal. Requests made at weekends may wait longer. See how long casino app withdrawals take for the factors.
Does Skrill charge fees for casino payments?
Paying a casino from your wallet is generally free, but Skrill charges for some other things. Its fee schedule, which varies by country, includes currency conversion of a few per cent, charges on certain wallet loads and bank withdrawals, and a monthly fee if the account sits unused for a long period. The casino may have its own fees too: Casumo charges £3 on withdrawals under £10. Check Skrill’s UK fee page in its app before you start. Our casino app bank statements guide covers how payments appear.
Can I fund Skrill with a credit card and then gamble?
No. Since 14 April 2020, UK-licensed operators can’t accept gambling payments funded by a credit card, and that includes routes through e-wallets. If your Skrill wallet is loaded from a credit card, the casino or Skrill should block it from being used for gambling. Load the wallet from a debit card or bank transfer instead. The ban exists to stop people gambling with borrowed money, and it covers Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal funded by credit cards too. Read more on debit card casino apps.
Why can’t I withdraw to Skrill when I deposited with a card?
Because UK casinos generally return money to the method you paid in with first. This closed-loop rule helps stop money laundering and fraud, so if you deposited by Visa debit, the cashier will usually send at least that amount back to the same card before allowing anything else. Some apps then let you add Skrill for the remainder, but others won’t at all. The rule is set by each operator’s anti-money-laundering policy. See how to change your withdrawal method for the usual steps.
Is Skrill safer than using my debit card in a casino app?
It keeps your card details away from the casino, which some people prefer, but both are protected. UK casinos must meet security standards for card payments, and your bank adds checks of its own. With Skrill, the main exposure moves to your wallet log-in, so two-step verification and a strong unique password matter. Skrill payments also don’t come with the chargeback route some card payments have. Use biometric log-in on both apps. Our casino app security page explains the settings to change.
Is Skrill available on both iPhone and Android casino apps?
Yes, where the casino offers it. Payment methods belong to your casino account, not the device, so a casino that takes Skrill on its website takes it in its iPhone and Android apps too. The Skrill app is available on the App Store and Google Play, and having it installed lets you approve payments with biometrics. Without it, a web log-in opens inside the cashier. Apple Pay and Google Pay are separate methods that use your card. Compare the platforms on iPhone vs Android casino apps.
Why does my bank block Skrill payments to casinos?
Usually because you, or your bank, have switched on a gambling block. Many UK banks let you block gambling transactions in their app, and some apply the block to wallet top-ups intended for gambling too. Skrill may also hold a payment while it runs its own security checks. If you set the block yourself, it is a useful tool and worth keeping, since most banks add a waiting period before you can remove it. See bank gambling blocks and casino apps for how the blocks work.
Gambling can be addictive. Free, confidential help is available 24 hours a day from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. Get support from GamCare or NHS gambling support, or block yourself from all UK-licensed gambling sites with GAMSTOP.
