What MuchBetter is

MuchBetter describes itself as a digital wallet app to send, spend and store money. Unlike older wallets that started on desktop websites, it was designed around the phone: you sign up, load money and approve payments inside its app. Its site says joining is free with no credit check, and that the app uses biometric verification, encryption and real-time transaction monitoring.

Alongside the wallet you get a free virtual Mastercard for spending, an optional prepaid Mastercard, a contactless ring for paying in shops, MuchBetter vouchers for topping up without your bank, and a rewards scheme called MB Coins that can be converted to cash. MuchBetter at UK-licensed casino apps

MuchBetter has a following in online gambling, but in the UK its acceptance is patchier than PayPal’s. What our five partners publish, as of 20 October 2026:

Casumo’s listing raises an obvious question: UK casinos usually pay winnings back to the method you deposited with, so a withdrawal option is only useful if you can pay in by MuchBetter too. The deposit list on Casumo’s UK homepage names Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, PayPal, Trustly, paysafecard, Skrill and Instant Banking, not MuchBetter. Setting up MuchBetter on your phone

1. Install the MuchBetter app from the App Store or Google Play, checking the developer name on the listing.
2. Register with your mobile number and the same legal name you use for casino accounts.
3. Complete the identity checks MuchBetter asks for inside the app.
4. Turn on Face ID or fingerprint approval in the app’s security settings.
5. Load the wallet from a debit card, bank transfer or MuchBetter voucher. Credit card funding can’t be used for gambling in Great Britain.
6. Open the fees and terms section and note the charges that apply to UK accounts.

How a MuchBetter casino payment works

Where a UK casino offers MuchBetter, the usual flow is short. You choose MuchBetter in the cashier and enter the amount; the casino asks for the mobile number linked to your wallet; MuchBetter sends a request to its app; you approve it with your fingerprint, face or PIN; and the cashier updates. Because the approval happens in an app you already have open on the same phone, there are no passwords to type on a small keyboard.

1. Tap Deposit in the casino app and choose MuchBetter, if it is listed.
2. Enter the amount, keeping within any deposit limit on your account.
3. Type the phone number registered to your MuchBetter wallet if asked.
4. Open the MuchBetter notification or app and approve the payment with biometrics.
5. Return to the casino app and check the balance before you start a game.

Withdrawing casino winnings to MuchBetter

At Casumo, MuchBetter payouts are listed as instant once the withdrawal is approved. Casumo says requests are normally reviewed within hours, while its withdrawal policy allows up to three days for a decision. That review is where most of the waiting happens, especially on a first withdrawal when documents may be needed.

• Expect money to return first to the method you deposited with, under closed-loop payments rules.
• A UK casino can’t let you reverse a withdrawal to keep playing; that has been banned since 31 October 2021.
• Casumo charges £3 on withdrawals under £10, so a £9 payout would arrive as £6.

MuchBetter’s public pages say joining is free, but they don’t set out every charge in one place, and its terms are split by region. Before you use it with a casino, find the UK terms in the app and look for these items:

Casino fees sit on top. Coral and Ladbrokes state they charge no withdrawal fees; Casumo charges £3 below £10; 10bet and PlayOJO don’t publish a figure.

Can you use the MuchBetter Mastercard at a casino?

In practice it is safer to assume not. MuchBetter’s virtual and prepaid Mastercards are prepaid cards, and prepaid cards are commonly blocked from casino deposits or excluded from offers. MuchBetter and casino app bonuses

No partner offer is built around MuchBetter, and e-wallets are frequently excluded from UK welcome offers. Coral’s 100 spins (18+, bet £10 on slots, 10p spins, no wagering on spin winnings) and Ladbrokes’ up to 500 spins (18+, spend £10 on slots, 50 spins a day for 10 days at 10p) both exclude named e-wallets (PayPal, Skrill and Neteller) and prepaid cards, though neither names MuchBetter itself, so check the full terms.

Casumo’s 50% up to £100 (18+, opt-in, £20 minimum deposit, wager the bonus 10x within 7 days, £5 max bet) says payment restrictions apply. 10bet’s 100% up to £25 (18+, deposit within 7 days of choosing the offer, 10x wagering on slots within 3 days, max bonus winnings £1,000) doesn’t list exclusions in its headline terms. MuchBetter states it uses biometric verification, encryption and real-time transaction monitoring, and the casino never sees your bank or card details. To check who regulates your account, open the legal or about section of the app and look for the authorised company name and regulator; electronic money firms serving UK customers should state their authorisation clearly.
