Trustly casino apps in the UK

Trustly casino apps let you pay straight from your bank account by approving the payment in your own banking app, with no card number and no e-wallet in between. Among the five UK apps we cover, Casumo names Trustly in its deposit list, while Coral and Ladbrokes run a similar Pay by Bank option through a different provider.

Key takeaways

  • Trustly is an open banking payment service: you approve each deposit in your bank’s own app.
  • Casumo lists Trustly by name; Coral and Ladbrokes offer Pay by Bank through TrueLayer instead, from £5.
  • Trustly UK Limited is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority as a payment institution.
  • Bank gambling blocks apply to Trustly payments, which is useful if you have set one.
  • The no-registration Pay N Play model used elsewhere in Europe isn’t how UK casinos work: you still register and verify.

What Trustly is and how it moves your money

Trustly is a Swedish payments company, founded in Stockholm in 2008, that connects shops and casinos directly to customers’ bank accounts. In the UK it uses open banking: rather than typing card details, you choose your bank, approve the payment in that bank’s app, and the money goes from your current account to the casino. Its UK arm, Trustly UK Limited, is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority as a payment institution (firm reference 1005703), and the group is supervised in Sweden by Finansinspektionen.

For a casino app, that means three parties: the casino’s cashier, Trustly’s screen for choosing your bank, and your banking app for approval. Trustly never holds a balance for you, unlike Skrill or PayPal. Our wider bank transfer casino apps page compares Trustly with other bank-based routes.

Using Trustly in a casino app on iPhone and Android

Open banking works particularly well on a phone, because your banking app is usually on the same device. When you approve a Trustly deposit, your phone jumps from the casino app to the bank app, you confirm with Face ID, fingerprint or passcode, and the phone jumps back. People call this app-to-app redirect.

Which UK casino apps list Trustly

Payment brands matter here, because two of our partners offer a pay-by-bank option that isn’t Trustly. What each operator publishes, as of 20 October 2026:

From a user’s point of view, TrueLayer’s Pay by Bank at Coral and Ladbrokes feels almost the same as Trustly: pick your bank, approve in the bank app, return. If you mainly want to pay from your bank without a card, either works. Our pay by bank casino apps page covers the wider set of providers, and the Coral deposit methods page has Coral’s full list.

How to deposit with Trustly, step by step

  1. Log in to the casino app and tap Deposit.
  2. Choose Trustly (or Pay by Bank) from the payment list.
  3. Type the amount, checking it fits under any deposit limit you have set.
  4. Pick your bank from the list Trustly shows. Search by name if it isn’t on the first screen.
  5. Let the phone open your banking app, check the payee and amount, then approve with biometrics or your passcode.
  6. Return to the casino app and confirm the new balance before playing.

Approval normally takes seconds, but if your bank adds a security step such as a text code, follow it. The name on the bank account must be yours; paying from a partner’s or parent’s account is third-party funding and UK casinos will reject or reverse it. If this is your first ever deposit, our first deposit guide covers verification and limits before the cashier.

Getting winnings back to your bank account

Withdrawals from a casino to your bank are slower than Trustly deposits, because the casino reviews every request before paying. After approval, how long it takes depends on the payout rail the operator uses, not just on Trustly. Published figures, treated as typical rather than promised:

  • Casumo: reviews usually within hours, up to 3 days under its policy; bank payouts then up to 5 days.
  • 10bet: bank transfers up to 3 business days.
  • Coral and Ladbrokes: Fast Bank Transfer 2–4 business days once approved, minimum £5; no withdrawal fees.

Because UK casinos follow closed-loop payments, a Trustly deposit is usually paid back to the same bank account. A request can’t be reversed once made; that has been banned since October 2021. Our fast payout casino apps page compares other routes.

Why UK casino apps don’t use Trustly Pay N Play

In some European countries, Trustly’s Pay N Play lets players deposit and start playing with no separate registration, because the bank log-in supplies identity details. You may see this described on non-UK sites. UK-licensed casinos still need you to open an account, confirm your age and identity, and pass checks before you gamble, so even where they use Trustly, you register first and pay second. Demo play is also behind age verification in Great Britain.

A site offering to skip all checks for UK players is a reason to look closer. Confirm the operator on the Gambling Commission register; our guide on how to check a casino licence shows how.

Trustly limits and fees in casino apps

Trustly doesn’t charge you to pay a casino in the normal way; the merchant pays the provider. Your limits come from three places: the casino’s minimums and caps, your own deposit limit, and your bank’s daily payment limits. Both Entain brands, Coral and Ladbrokes, publish a £5 minimum for Pay by Bank and a £2,000 cap per deposit; Casumo sets a £10 minimum for all methods (£20 for its welcome bonus).

A worked example: at Casumo, a £20 Trustly deposit opted into the welcome offer (18+, 50% up to £100, wager the bonus 10x within 7 days, max £5 bet, payment restrictions apply) would add £10 of bonus, which needs £100 of wagering before it converts. Check Casumo’s full terms for whether Trustly qualifies. Our wagering requirements guide shows the maths in more depth.

Is Trustly safe for casino payments?

Trustly is authorised by the FCA, and every payment is approved with strong customer authentication in your own banking app, so neither the casino nor Trustly sees your banking password. That is a genuine advantage over typing card details on a small screen.

  • Only approve payments where the payee and amount match what you just entered in the casino app.
  • Keep your banking app updated and locked with biometrics.
  • Watch for fake casino apps; download only from the App Store or Google Play and check the developer, as explained in how to spot fake casino apps.

Trustly pros and cons for mobile casino players

Advantages

  • No card number or wallet password to enter in the casino app.
  • Approval with biometrics in your banking app.
  • No consumer fee for normal payments.
  • Respects bank gambling blocks.

Drawbacks

  • Few UK partner apps name Trustly itself.
  • Bank payouts can take several days after approval.
  • Depends on your banking app working at the time.
  • Switching between apps can confuse older or slower phones.

Deposits of any kind are spending on entertainment, not a way to earn; the house edge means losing is the likely result over time. Keep limits on in every app, and call the free National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 if gambling is causing worry.

Where to pay by bank in a UK casino app

Casumo is the partner that names Trustly, while Coral and Ladbrokes offer Pay by Bank through TrueLayer with a published £5 minimum. All three are UKGC-licensed and 18+ only, and every welcome offer carries terms, including payment restrictions, that you should read in the app before you deposit.

Casumo names Trustly in its deposit methods; Coral and Ladbrokes offer the closest equivalent, Pay by Bank, which isn’t in their named welcome offer exclusions. 18+, terms apply, so check the full payment terms in each app.

Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.

Frequently asked questions

What is Trustly at a casino?

It is a way to pay straight from your UK bank account using open banking. You choose Trustly in the cashier, pick your bank, approve in your banking app and return to the casino with the deposit added. The casino doesn’t see your card or banking log-in. Trustly UK Limited is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. Among our partners, Casumo names Trustly as a deposit method. For bank-based options in general, see bank transfer casino apps.

Which UK casino apps accept Trustly?

Casumo lists Trustly by name among its deposit methods, and a third-party review reports 10bet supports Trustly or pay by bank. Pay by Bank at Coral and Ladbrokes runs through a different provider, TrueLayer, with a published £5 minimum. PlayOJO doesn’t publish its method list in our sources. The app’s cashier always has the current options for your account. Our Casumo deposit methods page lists the rest of that cashier.

Is Trustly safe to use on a casino app?

Yes. Trustly UK Limited is authorised by the FCA, and each payment needs strong customer authentication in your own bank’s app, usually Face ID, a fingerprint or a passcode. The casino never sees your banking credentials. The main risk is approving a payment you didn’t mean to make, so check the payee and amount every time. Download casino apps only from the App Store or Google Play. See safe casino apps for how to check an operator’s licence.

How long do Trustly casino withdrawals take?

Usually a few days after the casino approves them. Deposits are near-instant, but payouts go through the casino’s review first. Casumo quotes up to 5 days for bank payouts after approval, 10bet up to 3 business days for bank transfers, and Coral and Ladbrokes 2–4 business days for Fast Bank Transfer. Some operators use faster bank rails, so times vary. First withdrawals may also need ID checks. Our how long do casino app withdrawals take page explains each stage.

Does Trustly charge a fee for casino deposits?

Not to you, in normal use. Trustly is paid by the merchant, and UK bank transfers between pounds sterling accounts don’t usually carry bank charges. The casino may have fees of its own: Casumo, for example, charges £3 on withdrawals under £10, while Coral and Ladbrokes state they don’t charge withdrawal fees. If your account is in another currency, your bank may add conversion costs. Check the cashier notes before you confirm. More on small payouts is in casino app minimum withdrawal.

Can I use Trustly without registering at a UK casino?

No. Trustly’s Pay N Play model, which skips separate registration, is used in some other European markets, but UK-licensed casinos must verify your age and identity before you gamble. You create an account, pass checks, then pay by Trustly or another method. Even free demo games need age verification in Great Britain. If a site promises UK players no checks at all, verify it on the Gambling Commission register. Our casino app verification guide covers what UK apps ask for.

Why did my bank decline a Trustly casino payment?

The most common reason is a gambling block. Many UK banks let you block gambling payments in their app, and the block covers open banking payments to casinos as well as cards. Other causes are daily payment limits, a security check by the bank, or a deposit limit in the casino app. If you set the block yourself, consider keeping it; it is one of the most effective safer gambling tools. Read bank gambling blocks and casino apps.

Is Trustly the same as Pay by Bank at Coral and Ladbrokes?

It does the same job through a different company. Coral and Ladbrokes run Pay by Bank through TrueLayer, another open banking provider, while Casumo names Trustly. For you, the steps look almost identical: choose your bank, approve in the banking app, return to the casino. The two Entain brands publish a £5 minimum and a £2,000 cap per deposit, and neither names Pay by Bank as excluded from its welcome spins. Our pay by bank casino apps page compares providers.

Does Trustly work on iPad casino apps?

Yes, if your banking app is installed on the iPad or you can log in to the bank’s website. On a phone, the jump between the casino app and the bank app is usually quick. On a tablet without your bank’s app, Trustly opens the bank’s web log-in, which may ask for a code sent to your phone. Approving on another device can be possible depending on your bank. Our iPad casino apps guide covers other tablet differences.
