To change payment method in a casino app, open the cashier, choose Deposit and add the new card, wallet or bank option; the app saves it for next time. Changing how you are paid is stricter: UK casinos normally return money to the method you deposited with first, so a new withdrawal route usually needs a deposit through it.
Adding a new deposit method happens in the app’s cashier and takes a minute or two.
Withdrawals follow a closed loop: money usually goes back to the method you paid in with.
Coral and Ladbrokes allow up to three active payment methods in a rolling 30 days in the UK.
Some welcome offers exclude e-wallets and prepaid cards, so check before switching method for a first deposit; 18+, T&Cs apply.

How to change payment method in a casino app
Casino apps rarely have an Edit button on a saved card. Instead, you add a new method and, if you want, remove the old one. The cashier is shared with the website, so a method added on your phone appears there too.
Sign in and tap your balance or the Deposit button to open the cashier.
Look for Add new method, Use a different method or a plus icon beneath your saved options.
Pick the type: debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, a bank transfer option or another listed method.
Enter the details or approve the payment in your banking or wallet app; you may need to make a deposit to save it.
To remove the old method, go to Banking, Payment methods or Manage cards and tap Remove or the bin icon.
If there is no remove option, ask support to retire the method for you.
Credit cards can’t be used for gambling in Great Britain, including credit cards loaded into Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. A new method will be declined if it is funded by credit.
Changing how you deposit vs how you are paid
Deposits are flexible; withdrawals are not. UK casinos follow a closed-loop approach to stop money laundering: winnings and unused deposits go back to the method that funded them, up to the amount deposited, before any other route is used. You can’t simply choose a new bank account at the withdrawal screen if you never deposited from it.
Coral’s and Ladbrokes’ help pages show how specific this gets. A PayPal withdrawal needs a PayPal deposit within the last six months, a paysafecard withdrawal needs an earlier paysafecard deposit, and Google Pay withdrawals are paid to the card behind the wallet. Both also offer Fast Bank Transfer as a withdrawal-only route. Our guide on how to change your withdrawal method covers the payout side step by step.
A worked example: switching from card to PayPal
Suppose you deposited £40 by debit card last month, then decide to use PayPal and deposit £20 that way. Your balance is now £100 after a good session. A typical closed-loop casino would send up to £40 back to the card and up to £20 to PayPal. The remaining £40 of winnings would then go to whichever eligible method the casino’s withdrawal policy allows, and some casinos let you pick from that eligible list.

The exact split varies by operator, so read the withdrawal screen: it lists the methods you are allowed to use. Withdrawing doesn’t change the odds or the house edge on whatever you play next, and gambling should only ever use money you can afford to lose.
Limits on how many payment methods you can use
Some UK casinos cap the number of active payment methods. Coral and Ladbrokes, both run by LC International Limited, state a limit of three active methods in any rolling 30-day period for UK customers. If you have already used three, a fourth will be refused until an older one drops out of the window or support removes it.

Switching methods often can also prompt questions from the casino’s risk team, because frequent changes are a known fraud pattern. That is another reason to settle on one or two methods you trust.
Replacing an expired or lost card
When your bank sends a replacement card, the long number may change or stay the same. If it changes, add it as a new method and remove the old one. If it stays the same with a new expiry date, some cashiers let you update the expiry; others treat it as a fresh card. Either way, a withdrawal that was heading to the old card normally reaches the same bank account, but check with support if a payout is in progress.
You may be asked to verify a new card with a photo of the front showing your name and only the first six and last four digits, with the middle covered. Never send the three-digit security code. More on safe document uploads is in casino app verification.
Switching to Apple Pay or Google Pay on your phone
Adding a phone wallet is the most mobile-friendly change you can make: deposits are approved with Face ID, Touch ID or your fingerprint, and the card number isn’t typed into the casino app. Make sure the card selected in Wallet or Google Wallet is a debit card, as credit cards will be declined. Our pages on Apple Pay casino apps and Google Pay casino apps explain which partners take each wallet and how withdrawals work.

Frequently asked questions
How do I change my payment method on a casino app?
Open the cashier by tapping Deposit or your balance, then choose the option to add a new method and enter the card, wallet or bank details. Many apps save a new method only after you make a deposit with it. To remove an old one, look in Banking or Payment methods for a remove or bin icon, or ask support. Remember that withdrawals usually go back to methods you deposited with. Step-by-step deposit screens are described in first deposit in a casino app.
Can I withdraw to a different card from the one I deposited with?
Usually not straight away. UK casinos use closed-loop payments, which means money goes back to the method that funded it, at least up to the amount deposited. If you want winnings paid to a new card, you normally have to deposit with that card first, and even then the casino may split the payout across your methods. If your original card has expired or been cancelled, contact support, who can approve an alternative. The how to withdraw from casino apps guide explains each stage.
Why can’t I add another payment method to my casino account?
The most common reasons are a cap on active methods, a card funded by credit, a bank gambling block or a name mismatch. Coral and Ladbrokes, for example, allow three active methods in any rolling 30 days for UK customers, so a fourth is refused. Credit cards, including those inside Apple Pay or Google Pay, are banned for gambling in Great Britain. If none of those apply, contact support with the exact error message. The casino app deposit declined guide covers other causes.
How do I remove a card from a casino app?
Look for Banking, Payment methods, Saved cards or Manage cards in the account menu and tap the remove or bin icon next to the card. Some apps don’t allow removal while a withdrawal is pending to that card, or while it is your only withdrawal route, so finish any payouts first. If there is no remove option at all, contact support and ask them to deactivate it. Removing a card from the casino doesn’t cancel it with your bank. More on securing your account is in casino app security.
Does changing payment method affect my welcome bonus?
It can, if the change happens before your qualifying deposit. Several welcome offers exclude particular methods: Coral and Ladbrokes exclude PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafe and prepaid cards from their free spins offers, and Casumo says payment restrictions apply to its 50% bonus. Using an excluded method for the first deposit can mean the offer isn’t credited. Changing method after the offer has been credited doesn’t normally affect it. 18+, T&Cs apply. The payment method exclusions page lists the usual exclusions.
Can I use Apple Pay instead of my card in a casino app?
Yes, at casinos that offer it, provided the card inside Apple Pay is a debit card. Coral, Ladbrokes and Casumo list Apple Pay among their deposit options. You select Apple Pay in the cashier and confirm with Face ID or Touch ID, so the card number is never typed into the app. Withdrawals may go to the card linked to Apple Pay or require a different route, depending on the casino. Our Apple Pay casino apps page compares how each partner handles it.
What happens to my withdrawal if my card has expired?
If the replacement card is linked to the same bank account, many payouts still arrive, but it isn’t certain, so contact support before requesting a withdrawal. They can confirm whether the payout can go to the new card or to another verified method in your name, such as a bank transfer. Add the new card to your account first, and you may be asked to verify it with a photo showing only the first six and last four digits. See casino app withdrawal pending if a payment is stuck.
Is it safe to save my card in a casino app?
It is generally safe with a UKGC-licensed operator, which has to protect payment data, and saved cards are typically stored as a token by a payment processor rather than as the raw number. Protect the account itself with a strong unique password and Face ID or fingerprint login so nobody using your phone can deposit. Phone wallets add another layer because each payment needs biometric approval. If you share your phone, read casino apps on shared family devices.
Can I deposit with someone else’s card or PayPal account?
No. UK casinos require every payment method to be in the account holder’s own name, and using a partner’s or parent’s card breaks the terms even if they agree. The casino can refuse the deposit, void winnings or close the account, and withdrawals can’t be paid to someone else. If your name has changed, update it on the casino account before adding methods in the new name. The rules on joint use are covered in can you share a casino app account.
