To enable Face ID on casino apps, log in once with your password, open the app’s account or security settings and switch on Face ID or biometric login, then tap Allow when your iPhone asks. After that a glance opens your account. If the switch is missing, check Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Other Apps, or the app may not offer it.
Biometric login is switched on inside each casino app, then approved once by iOS.
Casumo’s App Store listing mentions Face ID and Touch ID login; for other apps, look in the security settings.
Your face never leaves the phone: the app only receives a pass or fail from iOS.
Anyone whose face or fingerprint is enrolled on the phone can open the app, so review that on shared devices.
Faster logins make it easier to play on impulse; pair them with a deposit limit.

How to enable Face ID on casino apps
Every app handles this slightly differently, but the pattern is consistent: the app offers biometric login, iOS asks your permission once, and the app stores a secure key that Face ID unlocks.
Make sure Face ID itself is set up: Settings > Face ID & Passcode should show a face enrolled.
Open the casino app and log in with your email or username and password.
Look for a pop-up offering faster login with Face ID straight after you sign in. If it appears, tap Enable or Yes.
If no pop-up appears, open the account menu and look under Settings, Security or Login for a Face ID or biometric switch, and turn it on.
When iOS asks whether the app may use Face ID, tap Allow.
Log out and back in to test it. The app should show a Face ID prompt rather than the password screen.
On iPhones with a Home button, the same switch uses Touch ID instead. The steps are the same, except that iOS doesn’t show a separate permission pop-up for Touch ID.
Where to find the biometric login switch in each app
Store listings are the only public record of which apps support biometric login, and only one partner listing mentions it. That doesn’t mean the others lack it, just that you need to look inside the app.

Labels vary: Face ID login, Biometric login, Quick login and Log in with Face ID are all common. A plain Remember me tick box isn’t the same thing; it keeps your username filled in but still needs the password. Our Casumo app review covers its other iPhone features.
Allowing Face ID for a casino app in iPhone Settings
If you tapped Don’t Allow by mistake, the app can’t use Face ID until you change it in Settings. iOS remembers the choice per app.
Open Settings and tap Face ID & Passcode, then enter your passcode.
Tap Other Apps.
Find the casino app in the list and switch it on.
Return to the casino app and turn its biometric option off and on again if it still asks for your password.
On recent iOS versions the same switch also appears in Settings > Apps > the casino app. If the app isn’t in the Other Apps list at all, it has never asked to use Face ID, which usually means its biometric option is still off inside the app. Our Face ID glossary entry explains the technology itself.
Fingerprint and face login in Android casino apps
Android apps use a system prompt called BiometricPrompt, and the app’s switch is usually labelled biometric or fingerprint login rather than Face ID. Android grades biometrics by strength. Apps that protect money generally require the strongest class, which every fingerprint sensor meets but many camera-only face unlock systems don’t. On those phones a casino app offers fingerprint login only, even though face unlock opens the lock screen. Recent Google Pixel phones are among those whose face unlock meets the stronger standard.
Enrol a fingerprint in Settings > Security & privacy > Biometrics (wording varies by brand).
Log in to the casino app with your password.
Turn on biometric or fingerprint login in the app’s account or security settings.
Touch the sensor when the system prompt appears to confirm.
What Face ID unlocks, and when you’ll still need the password
When you enable biometric login, the app saves a secure token in the iPhone’s Keychain. Face ID unlocks that token; the app never receives an image or map of your face, only confirmation from iOS that the check passed. Because the token is tied to your current login, you’ll be asked for the password again when:
you change your casino password, on any device;
you reinstall the app or move to a new phone;
the casino ends all sessions, for example after a security review;
you add or reset Face ID or your iPhone passcode, which can invalidate saved keys;
the app has been unused long enough for the casino’s session rules to expire it.
Some apps also ask for the password before sensitive changes such as new payment details or withdrawal methods. That extra step is deliberate. If Face ID stops working altogether, our Face ID not working page lists fixes.
Face ID for Apple Pay deposits
Face ID has a second job in casino apps: approving Apple Pay payments. This is separate from login. You choose Apple Pay in the cashier, enter an amount, then double-press the side button and glance at the screen. Coral and Ladbrokes list Apple Pay on their help centres, Casumo’s listing mentions Apple Pay and Quick Deposit, and 10bet accepts it according to third-party reviews.
Only debit cards in Apple Wallet can fund gambling in Great Britain. Credit cards have been banned for gambling since 14 April 2020, including through Apple Pay, so a credit card in your Wallet will be declined.
Because a deposit takes seconds with Face ID, it’s sensible to set a deposit limit before you get used to it.
Shared phones: who else can open the app
Face ID and fingerprint login trust whoever the phone trusts. If a partner’s face is saved as an Alternate Appearance, or a family member’s fingerprint is enrolled on an Android phone, they can open your casino app with biometric login on. Depending on how an app is built, someone who knows your phone passcode may also be able to use it as a fallback.
Check Settings > Face ID & Passcode for an Alternate Appearance you don’t recognise, and reset if needed.
On Android, review enrolled fingerprints under Biometrics and delete any that aren’t yours.
Turn biometric login off in the casino app if you share the phone, and use a password instead.
Consider hiding the app behind Face ID with iOS’s Require Face ID option, or Samsung’s Secure Folder.
Face ID protects the account on your phone. It does nothing to stop someone who has your password logging in from their own device. That’s the job of two-factor authentication, which adds a code or approval step when a new device signs in. The two work well together: biometrics for daily convenience, 2FA against stolen passwords.
Some websites now support passkeys, which replace passwords with a key unlocked by Face ID. Where a casino offers them, they combine both benefits. Where it doesn’t, a password manager can store a long, unique password and fill it with Face ID.
Quicker logins and keeping control of your play
Typing a password is a small pause, and for some people that pause is useful. With Face ID on, the gap between a passing thought and a spinning reel shrinks to a couple of seconds. That’s not a reason to avoid biometric login, but it’s a good reason to set limits first: a deposit limit, a reality check interval, and a time-out if you need a break. Gambling is entertainment that costs money, and losses are the likely result over time.

Frequently asked questions
Do all casino apps support Face ID?
No, it’s up to each operator. Among our partners, only Casumo’s App Store listing mentions Face ID and Touch ID login; the Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO and 10bet listings don’t mention it, so check each app’s account or security settings. Where an app doesn’t support biometric login, a password manager can fill your password with Face ID instead, which is nearly as quick. Our iPhone casino apps page compares the apps’ other features.
Is Face ID safe to use on a casino app?
Yes, Face ID is one of the more secure ways to log in on an iPhone. Apple states the chance of a random person unlocking a phone with Face ID is less than one in a million, and your face data stays in the phone’s Secure Enclave rather than going to the casino. The weaker points are elsewhere: a shared passcode, an extra enrolled appearance, or a reused password. See our casino app security guide for the whole picture.
Why is my casino app not in the Face ID Other Apps list?
An app appears in that list only after it has asked iOS for permission to use Face ID. If it isn’t there, the biometric option inside the app has never been switched on, or the app doesn’t support it. Log in with your password, look in the app’s account, settings or security menu for a Face ID or biometric login option, and switch it on; iOS then asks permission and the app joins the list. If the option doesn’t exist, the app may not offer it. See casino app login problems.
Can I use Face ID to approve casino withdrawals?
That depends on the app. Face ID mainly unlocks your login, and some apps ask for your password again before withdrawals or changes to payment details as an extra safeguard. Withdrawals then follow the casino’s normal approval process, so Face ID doesn’t make them faster. Under UK rules a withdrawal request can’t be reversed once made, and it goes back to the method you deposited with where possible. Our how to withdraw from casino apps guide explains the process.
Does Face ID work with a mask or glasses on casino apps?
Usually, because casino apps use the iPhone’s own Face ID check rather than their own. If your iPhone is set up for Face ID with a Mask, which iPhone 12 and later support, it applies to app logins too. Most glasses and sunglasses work, though some polarised lenses can block the sensor. If Face ID fails, the app falls back to your passcode or password. Our Face ID not working page covers failures specific to casino apps.
Can I use Touch ID instead of Face ID?
Yes, on iPhones and iPads with a Touch ID sensor. Apps use the same system for both, so the setting in the app may be labelled Touch ID, Face ID or simply biometric login depending on your device. iPhone SE models use Touch ID in the Home button, and some iPads have it in the top button. Casumo’s listing names both methods. Unlike Face ID, Touch ID needs no separate per-app permission in iOS Settings, so switching it on inside the app is enough. See our iPhone SE page for that model.
Why does the casino app ask for my password after an update?
Some updates clear the saved login token, and some casinos deliberately ask for the password periodically or after security changes. A password change on another device, a reinstall, or resetting Face ID on the phone will also break the link. Log in with your password and switch biometric login back on in the app. If the password itself has been forgotten, use the reset link on the login screen. Our casino app password reset page walks through it.
Should I turn off Face ID if I’m worried about my gambling?
It can help. Removing quick login reintroduces a short pause before each session, which some people find gives them time to reconsider. It isn’t a control on its own, though. Deposit limits, reality checks and time-outs are built for that job, and self-exclusion or GAMSTOP stop access completely.
