How to install casino apps on iPhone: open the App Store, search for the casino by name, check that the seller matches the licensed operator, then tap Get and confirm with Face ID. On Wi-Fi it takes a minute or two. Your iPhone needs a UK Apple Account, some free storage and an iOS version recent enough for that app.
UK casino apps come only from the App Store; there’s no other safe route on an iPhone.
Match the seller on the listing to the casino’s UKGC licence holder before tapping Get.
Coral and Ladbrokes need iOS 18 or later, 10bet needs iOS 16, and PlayOJO and Casumo run from iOS 15.
Your Apple Account must be set to the UK, and Screen Time must allow 18+ apps.
The app logs in to the same account as the website: same balance, limits and checks.

How to install casino apps on iPhone, step by step
Every real-money casino app available in the UK arrives through Apple’s App Store. The routine is identical for each brand and needs no settings changes, profiles or files from a website.
Open the App Store (the blue icon with a white A) and tap Search in the bottom bar.
Type the casino’s name plus the word casino, for example Coral Casino, and tap Search on the keyboard.
Tap the result to open its full listing rather than pressing Get from the results list, so you can see who published it.
Scroll down to the Information panel and compare the Seller or Provider name with the casino’s licence holder.
Tap Get (or the cloud icon if you’ve downloaded the app before), then double-press the side button and glance at the screen to approve with Face ID. Touch ID or your Apple Account password also works.
Wait for the progress ring on the new icon to fill, then tap Open.
There’s no charge to download. Casino apps don’t sell anything through Apple’s in-app purchase system: deposits go through the casino’s own cashier, using methods such as debit cards or Apple Pay, and the casino’s terms govern them rather than Apple’s.
What your iPhone needs before you install a casino app
A UK Apple Account. The storefront you see follows your Apple Account’s country or region. UK gambling apps are listed on the UK store, so an account registered elsewhere won’t find them. Switching region means spending any store credit first and adding a UK payment method or none.
A recent enough iOS version. Each listing states a minimum under Compatibility. If your phone can’t meet it, the App Store either offers the last version that works or won’t let you download at all.
Free storage. Current listings range from about 25 MB to just over 100 MB, and the app grows as it caches lobby images and game files.
Screen Time set to allow 18+ apps. If Content & Privacy Restrictions cap app age ratings below 18+, the download is blocked until you change it.
Being 18 or over. You don’t prove your age to Apple to download; the casino checks your age and identity when you open an account.
If your handset is a few years old, our page on casino apps for older phones explains which apps still run and what to do when one doesn’t. The iPhone casino apps page compares the apps themselves.
iOS versions, sizes and sellers for UK casino apps
These are the details shown on each app’s UK App Store listing, checked on 20 October 2026. Sizes change with almost every update, so treat them as a rough guide to the space you need.

Coral and Ladbrokes have the strictest requirement, so an iPhone that can’t go beyond iOS 17 won’t install either of them; the iPhone XS and XR are the oldest models that run iOS 18. PlayOJO’s app is by far the smallest download. Casumo and 10bet put casino and sports betting in one app on iPhone, so their listings talk about football as well as slots.
Check the seller before you tap Get
Copycat apps sometimes borrow a well-known casino’s name and logo. The quickest defence sits at the bottom of the listing, in the Information panel. The Seller line should name the company holding the casino’s UKGC licence, or the group that owns it.
Coral’s and Ladbrokes’ listings show Entain as seller, with Entain Operations Limited as provider; Entain is the group behind LC International Limited, which holds the licence under account 54743. PlayOJO’s seller is Skill On Net Ltd, the same company on its licence (39326). Casumo’s provider is Casumo Services Ltd while Recro Limited holds the licence (61549), and 10bet’s seller is 10bet Limited with copyright to Blue Star Planet Limited (43173). Where names differ, the casino’s terms page sets out how the companies relate.
When you open a casino app for the first time, iOS shows its own permission pop-ups. None is required to install the app, and every one can be changed later in Settings.
Notifications: tap Allow if you want messages about withdrawals or promotions, or Don’t Allow for a quieter phone. Our casino app notifications guide covers what to keep and what to mute.
Location: the App Store privacy labels for Coral and Ladbrokes list location data, and PlayOJO’s listing says the app may use your location even when it isn’t open. The prompt explains why the app wants it, and you choose between precise, approximate or none.
Tracking: a separate Ask App Not to Track prompt appears for apps that track across other companies’ apps and websites. Declining doesn’t affect your games or balance.
Face ID: apps that support biometric login ask once, when you switch the option on in the app’s settings.
After installing: log in or register, verify and set limits
Installing doesn’t create an account. If you already play on the casino’s website, log in with the same email and password: the app shows the same balance, bonuses and limits. New players sign up inside the app over a few screens.
Tap Join, Register or Sign up, normally at the top right of the lobby.
Enter your name, date of birth, address, email and mobile number exactly as your bank holds them.
Choose a strong password and turn on Face ID login if the app offers it.
Set a deposit limit when prompted. UK technical standards require casinos to prompt for one at registration or first deposit.
Complete the identity check. Many are done automatically; if not, the app asks you to photograph a document.
Demo versions of games stay locked until the casino has verified your age. That has been a UK rule since May 2019, so a new app showing only Log in and Join is normal.
Installing the same casino app on iPad, Mac or Apple Vision
Your Apple Account remembers every app you’ve downloaded, so a casino app fetched on iPhone appears under Purchased on your iPad without searching again. All five listings above support iPad at the same iOS versions. Four of them also list Macs with Apple M1 or later, marked Designed for iPad and Not verified for macOS, meaning the iPad app runs in a window rather than as a Mac-built program; 10bet’s listing doesn’t mention Mac.
On a bigger screen the lobby shows more game tiles per row and slots fit landscape comfortably. See iPad casino apps and casino apps on Mac for the details, and using one account on two devices for how logins behave.

Why the App Store is the only route on a UK iPhone
Unlike Android phones, an iPhone in the UK can’t install an app from a file on a website. Apple’s alternative app marketplaces are limited to the EU, and Apple’s review guidelines only accept real-money gambling apps from licensed operators. A site offering an iPhone casino app outside the App Store, or asking you to install a configuration profile to get one, is doing something no UKGC-licensed casino needs to do. Our explainer on Apple’s App Store gambling rules covers the policy.
If your iPhone is too old for an app, the casino’s mobile website runs in Safari with the same account. You can pin it like an app with our guide to adding a casino to your home screen.
Keeping the app current after you install it
Casino apps are updated regularly, and an out-of-date version may refuse to open until you update it. Turning on App Updates in Settings > Apps > App Store (Settings > App Store on iOS 17 and older) avoids that. The full routine, including what to do when an update fails, is in how to update casino apps.

Frequently asked questions
Do casino apps cost anything to download on iPhone?
No, UK casino apps cost nothing to download from the App Store. The listing shows a Get button rather than a price. Money only changes hands when you deposit through the casino’s own cashier, using a method such as a debit card or Apple Pay, and those payments are covered by the casino’s terms rather than Apple’s purchase system. Data use is the only other cost: downloads range from about 25 MB to just over 100 MB, so Wi-Fi is sensible. See casino app data usage for what play uses afterwards.
Why can’t I find casino apps on the App Store?
The usual reason is that your Apple Account is registered to a country other than the UK. Real-money casino apps appear only in storefronts where the operator is licensed, so a US or Irish account won’t show UK apps. Check the region under Settings, your name, Media & Purchases, View Account. Screen Time age restrictions can also hide 18+ apps. If you’re abroad with a UK account, the app should still appear, though using it there depends on local law. Our casino apps abroad page explains more.
Is it safe to install casino apps on iPhone?
Yes, provided the app comes from the App Store and the seller matches the casino’s UKGC licence holder. Apple reviews gambling apps and only accepts them from licensed operators, and iOS keeps each app sandboxed from your other data. The bigger safety questions are about the casino itself: check its licence on the Gambling Commission register and use strong login security. Our casino app safety guide and how to check a casino licence walk through both.
Which iOS version do I need for UK casino apps?
It depends on the app, from iOS 15 up to iOS 18. On 20 October 2026 the UK listings showed Coral and Ladbrokes needing iOS 18.0 or later, 10bet iOS 16.0 or later, and PlayOJO and Casumo iOS 15.0 or later. Operators raise these minimums over time, so check the Compatibility line on the listing before relying on an older phone. Our iOS 26 page covers the current system, and the older phones guide explains your options if your iPhone can’t update.
How long does it take to install a casino app on iPhone?
On a typical home broadband or 5G connection, a casino app installs in under two minutes. The download is between about 25 MB and 112 MB depending on the brand, and iOS installs it as it downloads. Registering an account afterwards takes a few more minutes, and identity checks are often instant but can need a document upload if the automatic check doesn’t match. If the icon sits on Waiting for a long time, check your storage and connection. Our Wi-Fi vs mobile data guide helps choose.
Do I need a new account if I install the app?
No, the app logs in to your existing casino account. A casino app is a front end to the same account as the website, so your balance, bonuses, deposit limits and verification status all carry across. Opening a second account with the same casino isn’t allowed and could lead to both being closed. If you’ve forgotten your password, use the reset link on the app’s login screen. Our casino app login problems page covers the common snags.
Can I stop casino apps being installed on a family iPhone?
Yes, Screen Time can block 18+ apps. Go to Settings, Screen Time, Content & Privacy Restrictions, switch it on, then open App Store, Media, Web & Games and set Apps to a lower age rating. Casino apps carry an 18+ rating, so they can’t then be downloaded without the Screen Time passcode. You can also block in-app purchases and set web content limits. Our guides to blocking gambling apps on iPhone and shared family devices give the full steps.
Will deleting the app close my casino account?
No, deleting a casino app only removes it from your iPhone; your account, balance and any pending withdrawals stay exactly as they were. You can reinstall from the cloud icon in the App Store and log back in. To close the account itself, use the account closure option inside the app or contact customer support, and withdraw any balance first. If you want a break from gambling rather than a closure, a time-out or self-exclusion is the stronger tool. See does deleting a casino app close your account.
Can I install a casino app without Face ID?
Yes. Face ID is only one way to approve an App Store download. Touch ID works on iPhones with a Home button, and any iPhone can confirm with your Apple Account password instead. Once installed, logging in to the casino works with your email and password; biometric login is optional in apps that support it. Casumo’s App Store listing mentions Face ID and Touch ID login, while the other partner listings don’t. Our guide on how to enable Face ID on casino apps explains the setting.
