App exclusive casino bonuses

App exclusive casino bonuses, meaning offers you can only claim by downloading a casino’s app, are rarer than adverts suggest. A UK casino app is a front end to the same account as the website, and all five of our partners publish the same welcome offer in both. What an app changes is how offers reach you: push alerts, an inbox and quicker opt-ins.

Key takeaways

  • Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo and 10bet each run the same welcome offer in the app and on the website.
  • Your app and web login share one balance, one set of limits and one bonus history, so you cannot claim the same welcome offer twice.
  • Genuine app-only extras tend to be features, such as a home-screen widget or quick game launch, rather than bigger bonuses.
  • If an advert says app only, find the claim in the full terms before you install anything.

Do app exclusive casino bonuses exist in the UK?

They exist, but they are uncommon and usually small. Most UK operators run one welcome offer per brand and show it everywhere: on the website, the mobile site and inside the app. That is the case for all five casinos we work with. Coral’s 100 spins, Ladbrokes’ up to 500 spins, PlayOJO’s 80 spins, Casumo’s 50% match and 10bet’s 100% match are each the same whichever way you sign up.

The reason is structural. A casino app is not a separate casino; it is a different screen on the same account system. Your balance, verification status, deposit limits and bonus history all live on the operator’s servers, so the app and the website see exactly the same account. Our explainer on whether casino apps have different bonuses goes through this in more detail.

Why some casinos advertise app-only offers

Operators like customers to install the app because an installed app is easier to return to. It sits on the home screen, it can send notifications, and it keeps you signed in with Face ID or a fingerprint. An app-only promotion, even a small one, is a way to encourage that install.

Typical app-only promotions are modest: a handful of spins for logging in through the app the first time, a prize-wheel spin only shown in the app, or an app-only tournament. Large welcome bonuses are almost never app-exclusive, partly because the operator would then have two different headline offers to keep compliant across every advert.

What actually changes between the app and the website

Even when the offer is identical, the experience of finding and claiming it can differ. These are the main differences on a phone.

FeatureCasino appMobile website

One example: Ladbrokes’ welcome spins are claimed each day from the in-app inbox, and Casumo’s iOS listing describes Face ID login, a home-screen widget and quick launch of recent slots. Those are conveniences, not bigger bonuses. For a full comparison see casino app vs mobile site.

How to test whether an app exclusive bonus is genuine

Before installing anything because of an app-only advert, run through these checks:

  1. Open the casino’s website on your phone’s browser and find its promotions page.
  2. Compare the offer shown there with the one in the advert. If they match, it is not app-exclusive.
  3. Open the full terms and search for words like ‘app’, ‘mobile’ or ‘download’. A real app-only condition will be written there.
  4. Check the App Store or Google Play listing: the developer or seller should match the licence holder named on the casino’s site.
  5. Look up the licence holder on the Gambling Commission’s public register.
  6. Only then install, and sign in with the same account you already use if you have one.

Steps 4 and 5 matter because fake casino apps sometimes use ‘exclusive bonus’ claims as bait. Our guides on how to spot fake casino apps and how to check a casino app developer show what a genuine listing looks like.

Why you cannot claim a welcome offer twice by installing the app

Because the app and the website share one account, a welcome offer is claimed once per customer, not once per device. Opening a second account to claim it again breaks the terms of every UK casino and will lead to the account being closed and the bonus removed. If you already signed up on the website, simply log in to the app with the same details; your offer and its progress will be there. App Store and Google Play rules behind casino offers

Apple only allows real-money gambling apps on the UK App Store from licensed operators, and its guidelines require them to be free to download and bar them from selling gambling credit through in-app purchases. Deposits therefore go through the casino’s own cashier, not your Apple account. Google Play allows real-money gambling apps in Great Britain only from licensed operators it has approved. Neither store sets the bonus terms; those come from the operator and the Gambling Commission.

Downsides of chasing app-only promotions

Advantages

  • Notifications make it easy to see time-limited daily claims
  • Biometric login is quick and avoids reusing passwords
  • In-app inbox keeps offer terms in one place

Drawbacks

  • Promotional alerts can prompt play you had not planned
  • App-only extras are usually small
  • An app uses storage and may run in the background
  • Third-party ‘exclusive’ claims can lead to fake apps

If you install a casino app for an offer, decide straight away which notifications you want. Our casino app notifications guide shows how to keep account alerts while muting promotions, and our casino app limits guide covers deposit limits and reality checks.

Claiming a partner offer in the app, step by step

Using Coral as the example, because its offer has the most moving parts:

  1. Install Coral Casino: Slots & Games from the App Store, or Coral™ Casino: Slots & Games from Google Play. The Android developer is LC International Limited.
  2. Register in the app and complete age and identity checks.
  3. Deposit with a qualifying method. Coral’s terms exclude Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards.
  4. Bet £10 or more on slots.
  5. Accept the 100 spins within 48 hours when prompted; they are 10p each on selected games.
  6. Use them within 7 days. Winnings from the spins have no wagering.

For the other partners’ steps, see our guide on how to claim free spins in an app.

Phone-friendly offers that match the app and the website

Coral gives 100 spins at 10p after you deposit and bet £10 on slots, no wagering on spin winnings. Ladbrokes gives 50 spins a day for 10 days, up to 500 at 10p, after you play £10 on slots, claimed from the in-app inbox with no wagering. PlayOJO gives 80 spins at 10p on Big Bass Bonanza with a first deposit of £10 or more, winnings paid as cash (excludes Northern Ireland). 18+, new customers, terms apply.

None of these is app-only: each is identical in the app and on the website. They are listed because they are straightforward to claim on a phone and carry no wagering on spin winnings. 18+, new customers, terms apply.

Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.

Frequently asked questions

Are casino app bonuses better than website bonuses?

Usually not; for most UK casinos they are identical. The app and the website are two ways into the same account, and all five of our partners publish the same welcome offer in both places. Where an app-only extra exists, it tends to be small, such as a few spins for first logging in through the app. The bigger difference is convenience: push alerts, an inbox and biometric login. Our explainer on whether casino apps have different bonuses covers the exceptions.

Can I claim a welcome bonus on the website and again on the app?

No. A welcome offer is one per customer, and the app and website share a single account, so logging in on the app shows the same bonus history. Opening a second account to claim it again breaks the terms of every UK casino and leads to the account being closed and the bonus removed. If you signed up on the website, simply log in to the app with the same details. Our page on using a casino app on two devices explains how logins carry across.

Why do casinos want me to download their app?

Because installed apps bring customers back more often. An app sits on your home screen, can send notifications, and keeps you signed in with Face ID or a fingerprint. That is convenient, but it also makes it easier to play more than you planned. If you install one, set your notification preferences and a deposit limit on day one. Our guide to casino app notifications shows how to keep account alerts while muting marketing on iPhone and Android.

Is it safe to download an app for an exclusive bonus?

It is safe if the app is from a licensed operator and comes from the official App Store or Google Play listing. Check that the developer or seller matches the licence holder on the casino’s website, then look that company up on the Gambling Commission’s register. Avoid APK files and links from adverts promising exclusive bonuses, which are a common route for fake apps. Our guides to spotting fake casino apps and casino APK downloads explain the warning signs.

Do casino apps have app-only promo codes?

Rarely. None of our five partners needs a promo code for its welcome offer, in the app or on the site. Where an app-only code does exist, the operator will publish it in the app or in its own marketing, and the full terms will say the code is app-only. Codes found on third-party sites that promise bigger app deals than the operator shows are best ignored. Our page on casino app promo codes explains where genuine codes come from.

Is the Ladbrokes app offer the same as the website offer?

Yes. Ladbrokes’ welcome offer, play £10 on slots and get 50 spins a day for 10 days (up to 500 spins at 10p, no wagering), is the same whether you join in the app or on the website. In both cases the daily spins are claimed from the inbox before 23:59 and must be used within 7 days. PayPal, prepaid cards, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers deposits do not qualify. 18+, terms apply. See Ladbrokes app welcome offer for every step.

Do I get anything extra for using biometric login?

No bonus, but it is safer and quicker. Face ID and fingerprint login mean you are not typing your password in public and can use a long, unique password stored in a password manager. Casumo’s iOS listing names Face ID and Touch ID login; for other apps, check the security settings after you sign in. Biometric login does not change your offers, limits or balance. Our guide on enabling Face ID on casino apps shows where the setting lives.

Are app-only offers covered by the 10x wagering cap?

Yes. The Gambling Commission’s 10x cap on bonus wagering, in force since 19 January 2026, applies to every bonus from a licensed operator, however it is delivered. An app-only bonus cannot carry heavier terms than a website bonus, and it cannot require you to bet on sport to unlock casino rewards. Stake limits of £5 or £2 a spin also apply on slots. Our guide to UK casino app rule changes in 2026 explains the full set of changes.
