Do casino apps have different bonuses to the website? Usually not. A UK casino app and its website share one account, so the welcome offer, wagering and expiry are normally identical, and all five casinos we work with run the same offer in both places. What can differ is how you claim, where offers appear and the occasional app-only promotion.
The app and the website use one account, so most UK casinos run the same welcome offer on both.
Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo and 10bet all offer identical welcome deals in the app and online.
Differences tend to be practical: in-app inboxes, push alerts, payment exclusions and app-only extras.
Since 19 January 2026, wagering is capped at 10x and mixed sport-and-casino offers are banned.
Always read the full terms inside the app before depositing, wherever you saw the offer.

Do casino apps have different bonuses to the website? The short version
In most cases, no. When you sign up through a casino app you are creating the same account you would create on the website, with the same cashier and the same promotions engine behind it. The operator’s welcome offer is set for new customers of that brand, not for a particular screen, so the spins, match percentage, minimum deposit, wagering and expiry match across both.
That is true of every casino we work with. Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo and 10bet each run one welcome offer, and you get the same deal whether you register in the app or in a browser. Where you do see differences, they are usually about presentation and claiming rather than value, and the sections below walk through each one.
Why app and website bonuses are normally identical
Three things push operators towards one offer on every platform.
One account, one wallet. A UK casino app is a front end to the same account as the website. Your balance, limits and bonus progress are stored once, so it would be awkward to run two different welcome deals on the same account.
Advertising rules. Under UK advertising codes the significant terms of an offer must be clear wherever it is advertised. Keeping one version of the terms reduces the risk of contradicting yourself.
Licence conditions. Operators must treat customers fairly and make terms easy to find. A bonus that silently changed depending on the device would invite complaints.
Our casino app bonuses hub shows the welcome offers side by side, and the app or mobile site guide explains what each format genuinely does better.

The payment row matters most. Several offers exclude certain deposit methods, and the default option in an app’s cashier isn’t always one that qualifies. Coral’s terms exclude Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards, while Ladbrokes excludes prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers. Our payment method exclusions guide covers this in depth.
App-exclusive casino bonuses: do they exist?
Some UK operators do run promotions you can only open in their app, such as a free-to-play prize game, a daily wheel or a reward for enabling notifications. These tend to be small extras for existing customers rather than a bigger welcome offer. Coral’s App Store listing, for instance, describes free-to-play games with real-money prizes and rewards features alongside the standard welcome deal.
What you are unlikely to find at a licensed casino is a welcome bonus that is clearly better in the app than on the website. If a page claims an ‘app-only’ welcome offer worth far more than the operator’s own promotions page shows, treat it with caution and check the terms inside the app before depositing. Our app exclusive casino bonuses page explains what genuine app-only promotions look like.
How the 2026 bonus rules apply in apps and on websites
Two Gambling Commission changes from 19 January 2026 apply equally to apps and websites, which is another reason the offers line up.
10x wagering cap. No bonus can require you to wager more than 10 times the bonus amount. Casumo’s 50% match, for example, means a £20 deposit brings a £10 bonus, and 10x wagering on £10 is £100 of qualifying bets within 7 days.
No mixed-product offers. A promotion can no longer require you to bet on sport to unlock casino spins, or the reverse. This matters in combined apps such as 10bet’s and Casumo’s iOS app, where sport and casino sit side by side.
Stake limits apply everywhere too: online slots are capped at £5 a spin for players aged 25 and over and £2 for 18 to 24 year olds. The UK casino app rule changes 2026 guide has the full timeline, and wagering requirements in casino apps explains how progress is tracked on screen.
Existing-customer offers can look different on each device
Once you have an account, offers are often personalised, and that can make the app and website look out of step. A reload offer, a prize draw or a free-to-play game may be targeted to your account, based on your marketing consent and play, and appear first in the app’s inbox because that’s where notifications land.
In practice the offer belongs to the account, so it should also be visible when you log in on the website. If one screen shows a promotion and the other doesn’t, refresh both, check the inbox on each, and ask live chat which is correct. More on this kind of offer is in casino app offers for existing customers.
How to check whether an app bonus matches the website
Open the operator’s promotions page in your phone’s browser and note the headline offer, minimum deposit, spin value, wagering and expiry.
Install the genuine app from the App Store or Google Play and open its promotions or offers tab before registering.
Compare the two side by side, especially the deposit methods that don’t qualify.
Tap through to the full terms in the app, not just the banner, and screenshot them.
Register and deposit using a qualifying method, opting in first if the offer asks you to.
Check the bonus or inbox area to confirm the offer has been credited before you play.
When a different app bonus is a warning sign
A licensed operator’s offer looks the same however you reach it. Be wary if an app promises a much larger bonus than the operator’s website, asks for a code you can’t find anywhere official, offers bonus buys, or talks about wagering above 10x. Those details suggest the app may not be the genuine one, or may not be licensed for Great Britain. Our guide on how to spot fake casino apps shows how to check the developer name against the licence holder.
Bonuses also never change the maths of the games. They add value to a first deposit, but the house edge still applies and losses are likely over time. Treat any bonus as a little extra entertainment, not a reason to deposit more than you planned.

Frequently asked questions
Is it better to sign up to a casino through the app or the website?
For the bonus itself it usually makes no difference, because UK casinos generally run one welcome offer across app and website. The choice is about convenience: the app suits quick Apple Pay or Google Pay deposits and notification reminders, while the website makes long terms easier to read. You can sign up on one and play on the other, since it is one account. Our app or mobile site guide compares the two formats in more depth.
Can I claim a welcome bonus on the app and again on the website?
No, a welcome offer is for new customers and is tied to your account, not the device. Signing up on the website and then downloading the app doesn’t make you a new customer again, and opening a second account to claim twice breaks the terms. Many operators also limit welcome offers to one per person or household. If you’re choosing between brands, our casino app welcome bonus page compares the five offers we list. 18+, terms apply.
Why can’t I see a bonus in the app that’s on the website?
Usually it is a display or timing issue rather than a different offer. The app may need updating, the promotion may sit in an inbox rather than the lobby, or the offer may be personalised to certain accounts. Close and reopen the app, check the inbox and promotions tab, and compare with the website while logged in. If it still doesn’t match, ask live chat. Our free spins not showing page covers the common fixes.
Are app-only casino bonuses worth it?
They can be a pleasant extra, but they’re rarely large. Licensed UK operators tend to use app-only promotions for existing customers: a free-to-play game, a daily prize wheel or a small reward. Judge them like any offer: check the qualifying stake, spin value, wagering, expiry and excluded payment methods. Wagering can’t exceed 10x since 19 January 2026. Our app exclusive casino bonuses page explains what to look for. 18+, T&Cs apply.
Do I need a promo code to get the bonus in a casino app?
Not at the casinos we work with. Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo and 10bet don’t require a promo code for their welcome offers, whether you join in the app or on the website. Some offers do need an opt-in, such as Casumo’s, or a choice at sign-up, such as 10bet’s casino welcome bonus. If a third-party site insists on a code the operator doesn’t mention, check the operator’s own terms. See casino app promo codes for more.
Do Apple Pay deposits qualify for casino app bonuses?
It depends on the operator’s terms, so check the list of excluded payment methods before you deposit. Apple Pay passes through your debit card, and offers commonly exclude e-wallets, prepaid cards and some other methods, which can differ from what the app suggests by default. The exclusion lists for Coral and Ladbrokes are set out on this page. Our Apple Pay casino app bonus guide looks at this question in detail; offers are for over-18s and terms apply.
Are bonus terms different on iPhone and Android apps?
No, the bonus terms are set by the operator for the account, so iPhone and Android users get the same offer, wagering and expiry. The differences are in the phone itself: Android users see Google Pay where iPhone users see Apple Pay, and notification settings sit in different places. Both platforms require licensed operators for real-money gambling apps in the UK. Our iPhone vs Android casino apps comparison covers the wider differences.
Can a casino offer a sport bet to unlock casino spins in its app?
Not any more. Since 19 January 2026, UK operators can’t run promotions that require you to use one gambling product to unlock a reward on another, such as betting on football to receive slot spins. That rule applies equally in combined sport and casino apps and on websites. Offers now stay within one product. The sport and casino app offers page explains what the change means for combined apps. 18+, terms apply.
