Sport and casino app offers in 2026: the short answer

If you remember sign-up deals that said “bet £10 on any sport and get £30 in free bets plus 50 casino spins”, those are gone from licensed UK apps. The Gambling Commission confirmed a ban on mixing products within a single incentive, and it took effect on 19 January 2026 alongside a 10x cap on wagering requirements.

What survives is simpler. A brand that offers both a sportsbook and a casino can still advertise a sports welcome offer and a separate casino welcome offer. Each one has to stand on its own: the casino offer is unlocked by casino play and pays out in casino value, while the sports offer stays on the sportsbook side. In a combined app you usually pick one at registration; in brands that split sport and casino into two apps, you claim the casino offer in the casino app.

What changed for sport and casino offers on 19 January 2026

The rule stops one product being used as bait for another, which in practice usually meant drawing sports bettors into casino games that are faster and more intense than a weekend accumulator. The rule applies to new and existing customers alike, so loyalty promotions are covered too.

Without a sports element to muddy the comparison, the casino offers are easy to price. Free spins have a face value (number of spins times the spin value); matched bonuses add cash that has to be wagered before it can be withdrawn.

The 10bet maths needs a closer look. Deposit £25, receive £25, and you need £250 of slot stakes to clear the bonus within three days. At 50p a spin that’s 500 spins; at £1 it’s 250.
