Casino app promo codes

Casino app promo codes are short words or strings you type at sign-up or in the cashier to unlock a particular offer, but for most UK apps you do not need one. None of our five partners asks for a code: each welcome offer is applied by depositing, betting, opting in or choosing it at registration. Here is how codes work, where genuine ones come from, and how to sort out problems.

Key takeaways

  • Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo and 10bet need no promo code for their welcome offers.
  • When a code is genuinely needed, the operator publishes it in the app, on its own site or in its own messages.
  • A code cannot override the rules: wagering stays capped at 10x and slot stakes at £5 or £2 a spin.
  • Leave the promo field empty unless the offer’s own terms ask you to fill it.

Do you need casino app promo codes in the UK?

Usually not. Promo codes were once the standard way of telling a casino which offer you wanted, but most UK operators now attach the welcome offer to your account automatically or through an opt-in button. That is true of all five casinos we work with. You will often still see an optional ‘promo code’ field on the sign-up screen, and leaving it blank is the right choice unless the offer’s terms tell you otherwise.

Codes still turn up in three places: targeted offers for existing customers, partnership deals advertised by the operator itself, and occasional event promotions. In each case the operator publishes the code, and the terms of the offer name it. For a refresher on how offers are switched on, see how to opt in to a casino bonus.

Where the promo code box sits in a casino app

If an app has a code field at all, it is normally in one of two places:

  • The registration form. Often collapsed behind a link such as ‘Have a promo code?’ near the end of sign-up. On a small screen you may need to scroll past the marketing consent boxes to find it.
  • The cashier. Some apps show a bonus or promo field on the deposit screen. This is where codes for existing-customer deals are usually entered.

A few apps also accept codes in the promotions tab, where you type the code and tap Redeem. iPhone and Android keyboards can autocorrect or capitalise codes, so check what you have typed before submitting. If the app uses a separate bonus selector in the cashier, that selector, not a code, is what attaches the offer.

How to enter a promo code in an app, step by step

Only follow these steps when the offer’s own terms name a code.

  1. Read the offer terms in the app’s promotions tab and copy the exact code shown.
  2. For a sign-up code, start registration and expand the promo code field before you submit the form.
  3. For an existing-customer code, open the cashier or promotions tab and find the code or Redeem field.
  4. Paste or type the code, then check that the keyboard has not added a space or changed capitals.
  5. Tap Apply or Redeem and wait for a confirmation message before depositing.
  6. Deposit with a qualifying method, then confirm the offer shows in your bonus or promotions area.

Why third-party promo code sites can mislead

Search for a casino’s name plus ‘promo code’ and you will find pages listing codes that look official. Some are out of date, some are affiliate tracking tags that change nothing about the offer, and a few are bait for fake apps or phishing pages. Because UK operators must make bonus terms clear before you sign up, a genuine offer will always be visible in the app or on the operator’s own site.

A simple rule: if you cannot find the code in the operator’s own terms, do not rely on it. And never download an app from a link on a code site; install from the App Store or Google Play and check the developer name. Our guide to spotting fake casino apps shows what to look for.

What a promo code can and cannot change

A code selects an offer. It cannot lift the legal limits around it. Since 19 January 2026 bonus wagering in Great Britain cannot exceed 10x, and operators may not run offers that combine two kinds of gambling. Slot stakes remain capped at £5 a spin for over-25s and £2 for 18 to 24-year-olds, and bonus buy features are not available in Great Britain whatever code you enter.

A code also cannot get round verification. You still need to prove your age and identity before playing, including demo games. Codes advertised as ‘no verification’ or ‘unlimited bonus’ are a red flag; our casino app red flags guide lists other warning signs.

Promo codes for existing customers

If you already have an account, codes are more likely to arrive as part of a targeted offer, by email or in the app’s inbox. Those codes are tied to your account and will not work for anyone else. Most ongoing promotions, though, use an opt-in button rather than a code. Our page on casino app offers for existing customers explains the main types, from coins and prize wheels to money back.

If you would rather not receive offers at all, switch off marketing in the app’s settings. It has no effect on your balance, limits or withdrawals.

Offers you can claim in an app with no code

Coral gives 100 spins at 10p on selected games when you deposit and bet £10 on slots; accept within 48 hours, use within 7 days, no wagering on winnings. Ladbrokes gives up to 500 spins at 10p (50 a day for 10 days) when you play £10 on slots, no wagering. PlayOJO gives 80 spins at 10p on Big Bass Bonanza with a first deposit of £10 or more, winnings paid as cash. 18+, new customers, terms apply.

No code is needed for any of these. Coral and Ladbrokes apply their spins once you meet the slots spend, and PlayOJO’s spins follow a first deposit of £10 or more. 18+, new customers, terms apply.

Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a promo code for the Coral app?

No. Coral’s welcome offer applies without a code: deposit with a qualifying method, bet £10 or more on slots, and accept the 100 spins within 48 hours. The spins are worth 10p each on selected games, last 7 days and have no wagering on winnings. Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards do not qualify. 18+, new players, terms apply. Our Coral promo code page and Coral app welcome offer guide go through each step.

Why does my casino app have a promo code box if I don’t need one?

Because the same sign-up form serves several purposes. Operators keep a code field for partnership deals, targeted offers and occasional events, even when the main welcome offer needs no code. Leaving it blank does not cost you anything if the offer’s terms do not mention a code. Typing a random code from a third-party site can, at worst, attach you to a different offer than the one you wanted. See how to opt in to a casino bonus for how offers are attached.

What happens if I forget to enter a promo code?

If the offer needed a code, contact support straight away and before you play the deposit, because many operators can only add an offer before the first wager. Explain which offer you meant to claim and when you registered. If the offer did not need a code, you have lost nothing. For our five partners no code is needed at all. Our page on casino app free spins not showing covers other reasons a bonus might not appear.

Are promo codes from coupon websites safe to use?

Treat them with caution. Many are out of date, some are tracking tags that make no difference to the offer, and a few lead to fake apps or phishing pages. A genuine code will appear in the operator’s own terms or messages. Never download a casino app from a link on a code site; use the App Store or Google Play and check the developer name matches the licence holder. Our guide to casino app safety covers fake apps and suspicious links.

Can a promo code give me a no deposit bonus?

Only if the operator genuinely runs one, and none of our partners currently does. No-deposit offers in the UK are uncommon and small, and still need age and identity verification. A code that claims to unlock a large no-deposit bonus at a casino whose own site shows no such offer is almost certainly wrong. The closest options at our partners need a £10 deposit, and their spins carry no wagering. Our page on no deposit casino apps explains what really exists.

Can I use two promo codes at once?

Normally not. Most offers say they cannot be combined with any other promotion, and a welcome offer can only be claimed once per customer. If two codes are entered, the app usually keeps one and rejects the other, or attaches whichever you entered last. Read the terms of both offers and pick the one with the clearer conditions. For help comparing offers on more than headline value, see our guide to casino app bonus terms.

Do Casumo and 10bet need promo codes?

No. Casumo’s 50% bonus up to £100 needs you to opt in and make a first deposit of at least £20; the bonus must be wagered 10x within 7 days with a £5 maximum bet. 10bet’s 100% match up to £25 is chosen at sign-up, with the first deposit made within 7 days and 10x wagering on slots within 3 days. Both are 18+ and for new customers. See Casumo promo code and 10bet promo code.

Do promo codes work differently on iPhone and Android?

The code works the same, because it is checked by the operator’s servers, not your phone. What differs is typing. iPhone keyboards may capitalise the first letter or add a full stop after a double space, and some Android keyboards add predictive words. Paste the code where possible and check it before tapping Apply. If the app opens a web view for registration, your browser’s autofill may also interfere. Our casino app troubleshooting guide covers other input problems.
