A casino app reload bonus is a matched top-up on a later deposit, offered to players who already have an account: deposit £20, get, say, £10 of bonus funds with wagering attached. None of the five apps we work with currently advertises a standing reload deal, so this page explains how reloads work on a phone and points to the closest first-deposit matches.
A reload bonus matches a deposit you make after your first one, usually by a smaller percentage than a welcome offer.
Since 19 January 2026 any wagering on a UK bonus is capped at 10x, which makes reloads far easier to judge.
Reloads are personal: they appear in an app's promotions tab or inbox, often only for some accounts.
Only take a reload on money you had already planned to spend; topping up just to unlock a match costs you more.

What a casino app reload bonus actually is
A reload is a matched deposit for customers who have already made their first payment. The word comes from ‘reloading’ your balance: you add money, and the casino adds a percentage of that top-up as bonus funds. A typical structure is ‘50% up to £50 on your next deposit of £20 or more’, with the bonus carrying a wagering requirement before any winnings from it can be withdrawn.
On a phone, reloads rarely sit on a public landing page. They tend to be targeted: one customer sees a Friday top-up in the app’s promotions tab, another sees nothing. That is normal. Operators decide who gets which offer based on account history, marketing preferences and safer gambling checks, and an offer shown to one account cannot be claimed by another.
The important point for a UK player is that a reload is the same product as a welcome match, just smaller and later. Everything that applies to matched deposit bonus apps applies here: the bonus usually sits in a separate balance, it may be ‘sticky’ or ‘non-sticky’, and the terms decide which games count towards clearing it.

Both are matched deposits, but they differ in who can claim them, how generous they are and how you find them inside the app.

Because reloads are smaller, the difference between a good one and a poor one is mostly in the conditions rather than the headline. A 25% match with 1x wagering can be more useful than a 50% match with 10x. Our guide to the casino app welcome bonus covers the first-deposit side in more detail.
Reload bonus maths under the 10x wagering cap
Wagering is the amount you must stake before bonus winnings become withdrawable cash. Under the Gambling Commission’s rules it cannot be more than ten times the bonus. Here is how that plays out on typical reload sizes.

Look at the third and fourth rows. A bigger deposit does not always mean a bigger bonus, because most reloads have a cap. Depositing £100 into a ‘50% up to £25’ offer only earns £25; the extra £50 above the £50 threshold gets nothing.
Next, think about what the wagering costs. If you clear £100 of stakes on slots with a 96% RTP, the average expected loss across those stakes is about £4. That is a long-run average, not a prediction: one session can end well above or well below it. It does show why a £10 bonus with 10x wagering is worth noticeably less than £10.
Where reload offers appear inside a casino app
Apps tend to put targeted offers in three or four places, and the same deal can appear in all of them:
Promotions tab. Usually an icon in the bottom navigation bar or under the menu. Look for a ‘For you’ or ‘My offers’ filter, which separates personal reloads from general promotions.
In-app inbox or messages. Many operators deliver targeted offers as messages with an ‘Opt in’ button. These can expire within hours.
Push notifications. If you allowed them, a reload may arrive as an alert. You can switch these off in the app or in your phone’s settings; our guide to casino app notifications explains how.
The cashier itself. Some apps show a bonus selector or a promo field on the deposit screen. If a reload needs selecting there, depositing without ticking it usually means no bonus.
If you opted out of marketing, you may see fewer reloads. That is your choice and nothing is lost by it; you can change it any time under casino app marketing preferences.
How to claim a reload bonus on your phone
The exact screens vary by app, but the order of events is nearly always the same:
Open the app and sign in with your password, Face ID or fingerprint.
Go to the promotions tab or inbox and open the reload offer to read its full terms.
Check the minimum deposit, the match cap, the wagering multiple, the expiry and any excluded payment methods.
Tap the opt-in or claim button if there is one. Some offers only activate after you opt in.
Open the cashier, choose a payment method that qualifies and deposit at least the minimum.
Confirm the bonus has appeared in your balance or bonus area before you start playing.
Track progress in the bonus or wagering section, and stop when you reach the limit you set for the session.
If the bonus does not appear, do not keep depositing to trigger it. Contact support from the app’s help menu and ask them to check the opt-in. Our guide on how to opt in to a casino bonus explains the most common reasons a claim fails.
Reload bonus terms to read before you tap deposit
Match and cap. ‘50% up to £25’ means the bonus stops growing once you deposit £50.
Wagering. Up to 10x the bonus in Great Britain. Check whether it applies to the bonus alone or to deposit plus bonus.
Game weighting. Slots often count 100%; table and live games may count less or not at all.
Maximum bet while the bonus is active. Many offers cap stakes at £5 or less; breaking it can void winnings. See our guide to max bet rules.
Expiry. Short windows, such as three or seven days, add pressure; plan around them or skip the offer.
Payment exclusions. E-wallets and prepaid cards are commonly excluded. Our page on payment method exclusions lists the usual suspects.
Withdrawal before wagering. Some bonuses are forfeited if you withdraw early; the terms will say.
Is a casino app reload bonus worth taking?
A reload has value only when it attaches to money you were going to spend anyway. If your plan for the week is £20 of slots, a 50% reload with low wagering stretches that £20 a little further. If the offer persuades you to deposit £50 instead of £20, it has cost you more than it gave.
Advantages
Adds bonus funds to a deposit you had already budgeted
Wagering can be no more than 10x in Great Britain
Usually opt-in, so you control whether it applies
Drawbacks
Smaller match and lower caps than welcome offers
Short expiry can encourage longer sessions
Bonus restrictions (max bet, game weighting) apply until wagering is done
Targeted, so you may never be offered one
Gambling is paid entertainment. Over time the house edge means most players lose more than they win, with or without a bonus. A deposit limit set in the app before you claim anything is the simplest way to keep a reload inside your budget.
UK rules that shape reload offers in 2026
Several Gambling Commission rules affect reloads directly. From 19 January 2026, wagering on any bonus is capped at 10x, and promotions that require two kinds of gambling (for example a sports bet to unlock a casino reload) are banned. Slot stakes are limited to £5 a spin if you are 25 or over and £2 if you are 18 to 24, and those limits apply whether you are playing with cash or bonus funds.
Reloads also sit inside the operator’s safer gambling duties. An operator should not send offers to someone who has self-excluded or shown signs of harm, and offers stop if you take a time-out. You can read the full picture in our guide to UK casino app rule changes in 2026.
Reload bonuses at the apps we work with
None of Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo or 10bet currently advertises a fixed reload bonus that every customer can claim. Existing-customer promotions in these apps change often and are frequently personalised, so the only reliable place to see what is on offer for your account is the promotions area inside the app.
If you are new to one of our partners, its first-deposit offer works like a reload. Casumo gives 50% up to £100 on a first deposit of at least £20 (wager the bonus 10x within 7 days, £5 max bet). 10bet matches 100% up to £25 when you choose the casino bonus at sign-up and deposit within 7 days (10x on slots within 3 days, £1,000 max bonus winnings). Coral offers 100 spins at 10p when you deposit and bet £10 on slots, with no wagering on spin winnings. 18+, new customers, terms apply.
None of our partners runs a permanent reload bonus. Casumo’s 50% and 10bet’s 100% first-deposit matches use the same mechanics a reload does, with 10x wagering; Coral’s bet £10, get 100 spins offer suits players who prefer no wagering. 18+, terms apply.

Frequently asked questions
What is a reload bonus on a casino app?
A reload bonus is a matched bonus on a deposit made after your first one. The casino adds a percentage of your top-up as bonus funds, for example 50% of a £20 deposit gives £10. The bonus normally carries wagering, capped at 10x in Great Britain, plus a maximum bet and an expiry date. In an app, reloads usually appear in the promotions tab or inbox rather than on the public site. Our matched deposit glossary entry explains the mechanics in more detail.
Why can’t I see a reload bonus in my app?
Most reloads are targeted, so not every account receives them. Operators decide based on account history, marketing preferences and safer gambling checks. If you opted out of marketing, set a time-out or are subject to an affordability review, you may see none at all, and that is working as intended. Check the promotions tab for a ‘My offers’ filter and the in-app inbox. If you believe an offer was sent to you but will not activate, ask support from the help menu. Our casino app marketing preferences guide shows where the settings live.
How much wagering can a UK reload bonus have?
No more than 10x the bonus since 19 January 2026. Before then, 35x or more was common, so older guides may quote figures that no longer apply. On a £10 reload, 10x means £100 of total stakes before winnings from the bonus become withdrawable. Some reloads go lower, and a few have no wagering at all. Always check whether the multiple applies to the bonus alone or to deposit plus bonus. See 10x wagering casino apps for worked examples.
Is a reload bonus the same as cashback?
No. A reload is paid when you deposit, as a percentage of that deposit, and usually has wagering. Cashback is paid after you play, as a percentage of net losses over a set period, and is often paid as cash or with light wagering. A reload rewards adding money; cashback softens a losing period. Neither changes the house edge. If you are weighing the two, our page on casino app cashback explains how cashback is calculated and where to find it in an app.
Can I use PayPal to claim a reload bonus?
Sometimes, but e-wallets are often excluded from bonuses, so check before depositing. The exclusions for our partners’ welcome offers give a sense of how common this is: Coral and Ladbrokes exclude PayPal, Skrill, Neteller and Paysafe deposits, and similar rules frequently apply to existing-customer offers. The offer terms will list excluded methods; if they do not, ask support first. Our payment method exclusions page and PayPal casino apps guide cover this in detail.
Do reload bonuses have a maximum bet?
Usually yes. A maximum bet rule limits how much you can stake per spin or hand while bonus funds or wagering are active. Casumo’s welcome offer, for example, caps bets at £5 while a bonus is live. Separately, UK law caps slot stakes at £5 a spin for over-25s and £2 for 18 to 24-year-olds. Breaking a bonus max bet can lead to winnings being removed, so check it before your first spin. Our guide to max bet rules shows where to find it.
Should I deposit more to get a bigger reload?
Only if the larger amount was already in your budget. A reload is a percentage of what you deposit, so it can make a larger top-up look better value than it is. A £50 bonus on a £100 deposit still leaves you staking £100 of your own money, plus wagering on the bonus. Set a deposit limit in the app first, then claim only what fits under it. Our guide on how to set a gambling budget on your phone walks through the tools.
Can I withdraw my deposit before finishing reload wagering?
Usually yes, but you may lose the bonus and anything won from it. UK operators must let you withdraw your own cash balance, and many keep deposit and bonus funds separate so you can. Terms vary on whether winnings made with real money before wagering is complete stay yours. Read the forfeiture clause in the offer before opting in. Our page on withdrawing casino app bonus winnings explains the order in which cash and bonus balances are used.
Are reload bonuses better on the app or the website?
There is normally no difference, because the app and the website share one account and one set of promotions. All five of our partners publish the same offers in their apps as on their sites. What differs is how you see them: the app may send a push notification or put the offer in an inbox, while the site may show a banner. If an offer is labelled app-only, read the terms closely. Our page on whether casino apps have different bonuses explains more.
