Is the Casumo app safe? It is a licensed, regulated app: Casumo is run in Great Britain by Recro Limited under Gambling Commission account 61549, and the official iPhone and Android apps come from Casumo Services Limited. Safe here means your money, data and games are covered by UK rules and complaint routes. It doesn’t mean you are likely to win, because the house edge applies to every game.
Recro Limited holds Casumo’s UK licence, account 61549, active since 21 December 2023.
Download only from the App Store or Google Play; both list Casumo Services as the developer.
The iOS app supports Face ID and Touch ID login, and Casumo says data is encrypted.
Casumo says its games use independently accredited random number generators and show RTP in each game.
Disputes go through Casumo’s complaints process, then a free independent ADR service.

Is the Casumo app safe? The short answer
Yes, in the sense that matters for a gambling app: Casumo is licensed by the regulator for Great Britain, its apps are distributed through Apple and Google’s stores under the operator’s own developer name, and it is bound by UK rules on verification, payments, game fairness, advertising and complaints. Those rules are what make an app safe to use, and anyone can check them.
Safe doesn’t mean profitable. Every casino game has a built-in house edge, so over time players as a group lose money. A safe app is one where you get paid what you win, your data is handled lawfully and you have somewhere to go if things go wrong. For what to look for in any app, see our guide to safe casino apps.
Who runs Casumo and how to check its licence
The company that holds the licence matters more than the brand name. For Casumo, the facts are on public record.

A remote gambling licence from the Gambling Commission is required for any operator taking bets from people in Great Britain. You can confirm Casumo’s in under a minute on your phone.
Open the Gambling Commission’s website and choose the public register.
Search by account number 61549 or by the name Recro Limited.
Check the licence status shows as active and that remote casino is listed.
Look at the domain names on the entry; casumo.com should be among them.
Compare the name with the footer of the Casumo app or website.
Older guides may name a different Casumo company. Recro Limited’s current licence dates from December 2023, so a different name on an old page usually just means the page is out of date.
Making sure you have the genuine Casumo app
Apple only allows real-money gambling apps from licensed operators on the UK App Store, and Google Play only lists them in Great Britain for licensed operators it has approved. That makes the official stores the safest place to get the app, and the developer name the quickest check.

Avoid installing Casumo from a file downloaded from a website. An APK from outside Google Play skips Google’s checks and may not be genuine; our page on casino APK downloads explains the risks.
Login and account security in the Casumo app
Casumo’s App Store listing says the app supports Touch ID and Face ID for login, and its FAQ there says it uses advanced encryption to protect deposits, personal information and withdrawals. The website shows a secure padlock and carries an ISO 27001 logo, the international standard for information security management.
Turn on Face ID or fingerprint login so your password isn’t typed in public.
Use a password you don’t use anywhere else, stored in your phone’s password manager.
Lock your phone with a passcode; biometric login is only as strong as the phone’s own lock.
Check your account settings for any extra verification option, and switch it on if offered.
Never share your login or one-time codes, including with anyone claiming to be Casumo support.
A phone that is shared with family should have its own screen lock and the Casumo app set to ask for Face ID or a password every time it opens.
What data the Casumo app collects
Both stores publish a summary supplied by the developer. On the App Store, Casumo’s privacy label lists data used to track you (identifiers, usage data and diagnostics) and data linked to you (financial information, contact information, user content, identifiers, usage data and diagnostics). On Google Play, the data safety section says the app may share location data, collects personal and financial information, encrypts data in transit, and lets you request deletion.
Location matters because UK-licensed apps need to confirm where you are playing. Our explainer on whether casino apps track your location covers what is checked and how to manage the permission. You can limit tracking on iPhone through Settings, Privacy and Security, Tracking, without affecting your ability to play.
Are payments in the Casumo app safe?
Casumo lists Visa and Mastercard debit, Apple Pay, PayPal, Trustly, Paysafecard, Skrill and Instant Banking for deposits, with a £10 minimum. Credit cards are banned for gambling in Great Britain, including through Apple Pay or PayPal funded by a credit card. Using Apple Pay or an e-wallet means Casumo never sees your card number.
Withdrawals go back to your deposit method where possible, which is a closed-loop safeguard against fraud. Casumo’s withdrawal policy says requests should be approved or denied within three days; its website lists e-wallets and Apple Pay as instant after approval, debit cards up to two days and bank transfers up to five. It charges £3 on withdrawals under £10, and UK rules stop any operator letting you reverse a withdrawal to keep playing.
Are Casumo games fair?
Casumo’s fairness statement says its slots and casino games use random number generators accredited by independent testing companies, that it tests games before release, and that each supplier runs its own testing. It says the theoretical RTP is available on every game, in the game’s information or help section. The statement doesn’t name the testing companies.
Many slots come in several RTP versions, and the casino chooses which one to run, so the figure in the game’s help screen is the one that applies to you. Live dealer games use real cards and wheels on camera, with a results history in each game’s menu.
Why Casumo asks for ID, and why that is a good sign
Every UK-licensed operator must confirm your age and identity before you can play, including free demo games. Casumo’s withdrawal policy adds that payouts above the equivalent of €1,000, or cumulative withdrawals above €2,000, trigger extra checks, and that it may check smaller amounts. These KYC checks protect against fraud and underage gambling. An app that never asks is a warning sign, not a convenience. Our Casumo app verification page explains what to send.
What happens if something goes wrong
Start with Casumo’s support, by live chat or at hey@casumo.com. If that doesn’t settle it, make a formal complaint; Under UK licence rules, Casumo has eight weeks to issue a final response. After that, or if eight weeks pass, you can take the dispute to a free, independent ADR provider, which Casumo names in its terms and final response. The Gambling Commission doesn’t resolve individual disputes, but it does accept reports of licence breaches. Our Casumo customer service page covers each step.
Tools that keep play safe as well as the app
Safety also means staying in control. Casumo’s Play Okay settings include deposit, loss and wager limits, a play activity limit, a login time block, breaks of 24 hours to six weeks and self-exclusion. Lowering a limit is instant; raising one waits 24 hours and needs confirming. Details are on our Casumo app deposit limits and safer gambling tools page. GAMSTOP and the National Gambling Helpline (0808 8020 133) are there for anyone who needs them.

Frequently asked questions
Is Casumo legit in the UK?
Yes. Casumo is operated in Great Britain by Recro Limited, a company incorporated in Malta, which holds a Gambling Commission licence under account number 61549, active since 21 December 2023. You can confirm this on the Commission’s public register by searching the account number. The licence means Casumo must follow UK rules on age checks, payments, game fairness, advertising and complaints. Its apps are on the App Store and Google Play under Casumo Services. Our explainer on whether casino apps are legal in the UK covers the wider rules.
Who owns the Casumo app?
The UK licence is held by Recro Limited, registered in Malta under number C77858, and the app listings name Casumo Services Limited as the developer. Both use Casumo’s Maltese address. When you check a store listing, the developer should read Casumo or Casumo Services; anything else is not the official app. The licence holder is the company you have a contract with and the one named on the Gambling Commission register. Our UKGC explainer shows how to read a register entry.
Is my personal data safe on the Casumo app?
Casumo is subject to UK data protection law and says it uses encryption to protect personal information, deposits and withdrawals. Its Google Play data safety section says data is encrypted in transit and that you can request deletion, and its App Store privacy label lists the data collected, including identifiers, usage data and financial information. Some data is used for tracking, which you can limit in your phone’s privacy settings. Keep your own side secure with a unique password and biometric login. Our casino app security guide explains the settings.
Does the Casumo app use Face ID?
Yes. Casumo’s App Store listing says the app supports Touch ID and Face ID for quick login on iPhone and iPad. Turning it on means you don’t type your password in public, but it relies on your phone’s own lock, so use a strong passcode as well. On Android, check the app’s login settings for a fingerprint option. If biometric login stops working after an update, log in with your password and switch it on again. Our page on biometric login explains how it works on casino apps.
Are Casumo games rigged?
There is no evidence of that, and Casumo is required by its UK licence to offer fair games. Its fairness statement says slots and casino games use random number generators accredited by independent testing companies, and that the theoretical RTP is shown in each game’s information screen. Live dealer tables rely on physical cards and wheels, filmed as each round happens. Fair games still carry a house edge, so most players lose over time. Our are casino apps rigged page explains how testing works and what RTP really means.
Is it safe to deposit with Apple Pay or PayPal at Casumo?
Yes, and both add a layer of protection because Casumo never sees your card number. Casumo lists Apple Pay and PayPal among its deposit methods, alongside debit cards, Trustly, Paysafecard, Skrill and Instant Banking, with a £10 minimum deposit. Both are also listed as paying out instantly once a withdrawal is approved. Remember that credit cards can’t be used for UK gambling, including when linked to Apple Pay or PayPal. Our Apple Pay casino apps guide covers using it on an iPhone.
Does Casumo pay out winnings?
Casumo publishes a withdrawal policy saying requests should be approved or denied within three days, and its website says most are checked within hours. After approval, e-wallets and Apple Pay are listed as instant, debit cards up to two days and bank transfers up to five. Withdrawals need completed verification, and larger payouts can trigger extra checks. A £3 fee applies under £10. If a payout is refused, you can complain and then use ADR. Our Casumo app withdrawal time guide explains each stage.
Is the Casumo APK safe to install?
Use Google Play instead. Casumo publishes its Android app on Google Play as Casumo - Live Casino & Slots, from Casumo Services Limited, and that is the route covered by Google’s checks. An APK from a website could be outdated or tampered with, and installing one means allowing unknown sources on your phone, which weakens its protection. If Google Play says the app isn’t available, the cause is usually your account’s country settings. Our Casumo app for Android page explains how to fix that.
Where can I complain about Casumo?
Complain to Casumo first, by live chat or by email to hey@casumo.com, and ask for it to be treated as a formal complaint. Its final response must arrive within eight weeks. If you are still unhappy, or no final response arrives in time, you can take the dispute free of charge to the independent ADR provider named in Casumo’s terms. The Gambling Commission accepts reports of licence breaches but doesn’t settle individual cases. Our ADR explainer describes that final stage.
