Monopoly Live app guide

Monopoly Live app play means Evolution’s live money wheel with a Monopoly board bonus, played inside a UK casino app: you bet on numbers or on 2 Rolls and 4 Rolls, a host spins a 54-segment wheel, and the bonus sends Mr Monopoly round a 3D board collecting multipliers. The top published RTP is 96.23%.

Key takeaways

  • Monopoly Live is an Evolution game show from 2019, found in the live lobby of licensed casino apps rather than as its own app.
  • You can back six spots: 1, 2, 5, 10, 2 Rolls and 4 Rolls. Chance segments add instant cash or a multiplier on the next spin.
  • The board bonus only pays if you backed the Rolls spot that triggered it.
  • The highest published RTP is 96.23%; returns vary by bet spot, so check the help screen.

What Monopoly Live is and where the app version lives

Monopoly Live is a licensed board-game show built by Evolution and launched in 2019. It combines a vertical money wheel, like the one in Dream Catcher, with an animated Monopoly board that appears as a bonus round. A host runs the wheel from a studio while the bonus is rendered in 3D and blended into the stream.

There is no standalone real-money ‘Monopoly Live app’. Store apps carrying the Monopoly name are typically the classic board game or social games, not real-money gambling. To play the live game you open a UK-licensed casino app and look in the game show apps or live casino section.

2 Rolls35.6%Board bonus with two dice rolls
4 Rolls11.9%Board bonus with four dice rolls
Chance23.7%Card: instant cash or a multiplier for the next spin

A £2 bet on ‘10’ that lands pays £20 plus your £2 back. The 4 Rolls segment appears once in 54 spins on average, so it can stay away for a long time; that is ordinary randomness, not a sign it is due.

How Chance segments work

Chance isn’t a bet spot. When the wheel stops on it, Mr Monopoly draws a card. It either awards a cash prize, paid as a multiple of each player’s total bet, or a multiplier that applies to whatever segment the wheel lands on next. When a multiplier card is drawn, the wheel is spun again straight away and your existing bets ride on that next result.

Because Chance pays everyone who placed a bet, it is the one segment that doesn’t depend on which spots you chose. It is already built into each spot’s published return, so there is no way to target it.

The 2 Rolls and 4 Rolls board bonus

If the wheel stops on 2 Rolls or 4 Rolls and you backed that spot, you join the bonus. The screen switches to a 3D Monopoly board. Mr Monopoly rolls two dice two or four times and walks round the board, collecting the multiplier printed on each property he lands on. Rolling a double earns an extra roll. Special squares, including Chance and Community Chest, can add cash prizes or boost the values on the board, and the help screen lists the full set of rules.

At the end, your total multiplier is applied to your stake on the triggering spot. If you’d backed only 2 Rolls and the wheel lands on 4 Rolls, you watch but don’t win. That is why many players split a small amount between the two Rolls spots, though doing so doesn’t change the long-run return. Our entry on the bonus round explains how these features fit into RTP.

Monopoly Live RTP and what it means for a session

Evolution’s published RTP for Monopoly Live peaks at 96.23%, and the return varies by bet spot. That figure means the game is expected to keep around £3.77 of every £100 staked over the very long run, a higher edge than single-zero roulette at 2.70%. The help screen shows the figure for each spot in the version you’re playing.

Session example: £1 on each of 1, 2, 5 and 10 for 60 spins is £240 staked. At roughly 96% the expected cost is about £9–£10, but actual results could be far either side. If you back only the Rolls spots, nearly all your return depends on rare bonuses, making results much more volatile.

The app must show your balance and net position at all times. When a small number lands and the screen celebrates, check whether you actually made more than you staked that round.

Playing Monopoly Live in portrait and landscape

In portrait the host and wheel take the top half, with six bet tiles below arranged in two rows and the chip rack beneath. Chance cards appear as an overlay on the video. When a board bonus starts, the screen switches to the 3D board, with Mr Monopoly in the centre and your current multiplier shown in a corner box.

Landscape shows the whole board at once, which makes it easier to follow the dice. The 3D sequence is the heaviest part of the game for a phone to render, so older handsets may stutter. If that happens, close background apps and lower the video quality via the game’s settings cog; our casino app speed and performance page has more fixes.

How to play Monopoly Live in a casino app

  1. Log in to a UK-licensed casino app and tap Live Casino.
  2. Open the Game Shows filter or search ‘Monopoly’; several Monopoly-branded live games may appear, so pick the tile named Monopoly Live.
  3. Tap the tile and check the minimum and maximum stake in the help screen.
  4. Choose a chip value and tap one or more of the six bet spots during the betting timer.
  5. Watch the spin. On a Chance segment, see which card is drawn; on a Rolls segment you backed, follow the board bonus.
  6. Check your balance and the round result in the history panel.
  7. Leave between spins with the back arrow or the lobby button.

Monopoly Live versus other Monopoly-branded live games

Evolution has released more than one Monopoly-themed live game, and some combine the board with other formats, such as bingo-style draws. They share the theme but not the rules, odds or RTP. Always read the help screen of the specific tile you open, and compare it with similar wheels in our guides to Crazy Time and Funky Time. Number-draw formats are covered in our Mega Ball app guide.

UK rules that cover Monopoly Live on mobile

  • Stake caps of £5 (25 and over) and £2 (18–24) apply to online slots, not to live game shows; Monopoly Live has its own table limits.
  • Autoplay and speeding up are banned on online casino games, and non-slot rounds must last at least 5 seconds.
  • Age and identity checks come before any play, and there is no demo of this live game.
  • Credit cards can’t be used, including via Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal linked to one.
  • Once you’ve asked to withdraw, the casino can’t let you cancel it to carry on playing.

Keeping Monopoly Live within budget

The rarity of 4 Rolls can tempt players to raise stakes after a long wait. The wheel has no memory, so that only increases spending. Decide a session budget before opening the app, set a deposit limit, and use reality checks to keep track of time. Frequently asked questions

Is Monopoly Live a real-money app?

Monopoly Live is a real-money live game, but it isn’t an app of its own. Evolution supplies it to licensed casinos, so in the UK you play it inside a casino app or mobile website after registering, verifying your age and depositing. Apps in the stores called ‘Monopoly’ from games publishers are usually the board game or social games without cash prizes. If an unknown app offers real-money Monopoly Live outside a licensed casino, avoid it. Our guides to real money casino apps and how to check a casino licence explain what to look for.

What is the RTP of Monopoly Live?

The highest published RTP for Monopoly Live is 96.23%, and the theoretical return varies depending on which spot you back. That puts it below single-zero roulette (97.30%) but in the same range as many slots. In pounds, it implies a long-run cost of around £3.77 per £100 staked on the best spots, though individual sessions vary widely. The game’s help screen shows the exact figures for the version in your app. See RTP for a full explanation, and best payout casino apps for how RTP compares across games.

How often does the Monopoly bonus round trigger?

There are four bonus segments out of 54: three 2 Rolls and one 4 Rolls. So on average a bonus segment appears about once every 13 or 14 spins, and 4 Rolls about once every 54. You only take part if you had a bet on the matching Rolls spot. Because every spin is independent, long gaps are normal, and the bonus doesn’t become more likely after a dry spell. Raising your stake while waiting is a classic way to overspend. Our page on bankroll management on mobile and the bonus round entry explain more.

What does the Chance segment do in Monopoly Live?

When the wheel lands on Chance, a card is drawn. It either pays a cash prize based on your total bet, or gives a multiplier that applies to the next spin, which happens immediately with your bets still in place. Chance isn’t something you bet on directly; everyone with a bet in that round benefits. It is included in the published RTP of each spot, so it doesn’t change the long-run maths of any strategy. The multiplier glossary entry explains how boosts are applied, and how casino app games work covers randomness.

Can I play Monopoly Live on Android?

Yes. UK casino apps on Google Play from licensed and Google-approved operators include live casino lobbies where game shows like Monopoly Live may be offered. Install the app from Google Play rather than an APK from a website, log in, and search the live lobby. Mid-range and budget phones may find the 3D bonus demanding, so close other apps and use Wi-Fi for smoother play. Our Android casino apps comparison and how to install casino apps on Android guide take you through the details.

Why didn’t I win when the wheel landed on 4 Rolls?

You only take part in the board bonus if you had a bet on the exact Rolls spot that triggered it. If you backed 2 Rolls but the wheel stopped on 4 Rolls, or you backed only numbers, you watch the bonus but receive nothing from it. The same applies the other way round. Your bet history in the app will show which spots you had chips on. If you believe a round was settled wrongly, note the round ID and contact the casino’s support. Our casino apps with live chat and how to check your play history guides help.

Is Monopoly Live better than Crazy Time?

Neither is better in money terms; they suit different tastes. Monopoly Live has fewer bonus types, a single board bonus plus Chance, and its top published RTP is 96.23%. Crazy Time has four bonus games and a Top Slot multiplier, with published returns between roughly 94.3% and 96.1% by spot, and its biggest results are rarer and larger. Monopoly Live is often easier to follow on a small screen. Both carry a house edge and both need a good connection. Compare them in our Crazy Time app guide and the game show apps overview.

Can I use free spins or a bonus on Monopoly Live?

Free spins can’t be used, because they are tied to specific slots. Bonus money may or may not be allowed: many UK offers exclude live game shows, or count them at a lower rate towards wagering. Check the game restrictions in the bonus terms before you opt in. Since January 2026 wagering is capped at 10 times the bonus in Great Britain, and mixed sports-and-casino offers are banned. Our pages on live casino app bonuses and wagering requirements in casino apps explain how to read the small print.
