The Crazy Time app experience is Evolution’s live money-wheel game show played inside a UK casino app: you bet on one or more of eight wheel segments, a presenter spins a 54-segment wheel, and four bonus rounds can add multipliers. It isn’t a standalone app; you find it in the live casino lobby of a licensed casino.
Crazy Time is an Evolution live game show launched in 2020, played from a casino app’s live lobby rather than its own app.
The wheel has 54 segments: four number types and four bonus games, with a Top Slot that can multiply one spot each round.
Published RTPs range from about 94.3% to 96.1% depending on the spot; bonus spots return less than numbers.
Betting on every spot means a ‘win’ almost every round but usually a net loss, so watch the balance, not the celebration.

What the Crazy Time app actually is
Searching the App Store or Google Play for a ‘Crazy Time app’ turns up many look-alikes. The real game is made by Evolution, the live casino studio, and it is only available inside the apps and websites of casinos that have agreed to carry it. In the UK that means a casino holding a Gambling Commission licence. Anything calling itself the official Crazy Time app from an unknown developer should be avoided; our guide to how to spot fake casino apps explains the warning signs.
The format is a TV-style game show: a presenter, a large upright wheel, a studio set and animated bonus rounds. It launched in 2020 and built on Evolution’s earlier Dream Catcher wheel, adding four interactive bonuses and a slot-style multiplier reel on top.
The Crazy Time wheel: segments, odds and payouts
Before each spin you choose which of the eight segment types to back. If the wheel stops on a number you backed, it pays the number as odds. If it stops on a bonus you backed, you play that bonus round.

So a £1 bet on ‘5’ that lands returns £6 (£5 winnings plus your £1). The Crazy Time segment appears once in 54 spins on average, which means long gaps between appearances are normal.
How the Top Slot multiplier works
Above the wheel sits a two-reel slot. At the start of each round it spins: the left reel picks a bet spot and the right reel picks a multiplier. If they line up, that spot’s payout is multiplied if the wheel then stops on it. For example, if the Top Slot pairs ‘10’ with 5x and the wheel lands on 10, a £1 bet on 10 pays £50 instead of £10. A multiplier on a bonus spot boosts that bonus round instead.
Top Slot makes results swingier without changing the overall RTP of each spot, which already includes it. More on how boosts work is in the multiplier glossary entry.
The four Crazy Time bonus games explained
Coin Flip
Two multipliers are assigned, one to the red side of a coin and one to the blue side. The coin is flipped and you win the multiplier on the side that lands up, applied to your Coin Flip stake. It’s the most frequent bonus and usually the smallest.
Cash Hunt
A large wall of multipliers is shown, then hidden behind symbols and shuffled. You tap a target on your screen within the time limit, and when everything is revealed you win whatever was behind your choice. Each player chooses separately, so results differ between players in the same round. If you don’t choose in time, the game picks for you.
Pachinko
The presenter drops a puck down a wall of pegs and it lands in a multiplier slot at the bottom. A ‘double’ slot doubles every multiplier on the board and the puck is dropped again.
Crazy Time
The rarest bonus moves you through a door to a giant wheel with three pointers, or flappers, in blue, green and yellow. You tap to pick one before the spin, and you win the multiplier your flapper points at. ‘Double’ and ‘triple’ segments raise every value and trigger another spin. The game’s help screen shows the maximum payout per round, which caps very large results.
Crazy Time RTP and what it means in pounds
Evolution publishes a separate theoretical return for each bet spot rather than one figure for the game. Published numbers range from about 94.3% to 96.1%: the number segments sit at the top of that range, and the bonus spots lower down, with Pachinko and Crazy Time among the lowest. Casinos can only run the versions approved for them, and the game’s help screen shows the figures for the table you’re on.
In practical terms, if you stake £1 on the ‘1’ for 100 spins (£100 staked) at roughly 96%, your long-run expected cost is about £4. Spread the same £100 across bonus spots at roughly 94–95% and it becomes £5–£6. These averages hide wide swings: Crazy Time is high in volatility when you back bonuses, because most of the return comes from rare large multipliers.
Why backing every spot doesn’t beat the wheel
A popular approach is to put a chip on all eight spots so that every spin ‘wins’. With £1 on each you stake £8 a round. If the wheel lands on 1, which happens almost 39% of the time, you receive £2 back, a net loss of £6, even though the screen shows a win. Over time the result is simply the average of the eight spots’ returns, so the house edge is still there.
UK rules stop slots celebrating a return smaller than your stake. In a game show, keep an eye on your balance and net position, which the app must display, rather than the win animation.
In portrait, the wheel and presenter fill the top of the screen and the eight bet spots sit underneath as large tiles, numbers on one row and bonuses on the other. A chip rack runs along the bottom with Undo, Double and Rebet buttons. When a bonus round starts, the video switches to the bonus set and interactive elements, such as Cash Hunt targets or the Crazy Time flappers, appear as tappable buttons.
Landscape gives a wider view of the wheel and makes the Cash Hunt wall easier to read, which helps if you like choosing your target rather than leaving it to chance. On a tablet or iPad the extra space is noticeable. The game’s sound is part of the show; our guide to sound and vibration settings explains how to keep it from bothering others.
How to find and play Crazy Time in a casino app
Install a licensed UK casino app from the App Store or Google Play and log in.
Tap Live Casino, then Game Shows if the app has that filter, or type ‘Crazy Time’ in the search bar.
Tap the tile; check the minimum stake displayed on it or in the help screen first.
When the betting timer appears, pick a chip value and tap one or more of the eight spots.
Watch the Top Slot and the wheel spin; if a bonus you backed lands, the round opens automatically.
In Cash Hunt or Crazy Time, tap your choice before the timer ends.
Check your balance and bet history after each round; leave between spins using the back arrow.
Data, battery and lag during bonus rounds
Crazy Time combines live video with heavy 3D animation in its bonus rounds, so it is one of the more demanding live games for an older phone. Signs of strain are a stuttering wheel, delayed bonus buttons or a hot phone. A stable Wi-Fi connection, closing other apps and lowering the video quality in the game’s settings all help. If you’re disconnected during an interactive bonus, the game makes a random choice for you and settles the round. Our casino apps for older phones and casino app data usage guides explain more.
UK rules that apply to Crazy Time on mobile
The per-spin stake caps of £5 (25+) and £2 (18–24) apply to online slots, not live game shows; Crazy Time has its own table limits.
Autoplay is banned for online casino games, so every bet needs a tap; non-slot rounds must last at least 5 seconds.
You must be 18 or over and verified before playing, and there is no demo mode for this live game.
Credit cards can’t be used to fund play, and withdrawals can’t be reversed.
Ladbrokes, PlayOJO and Coral all have live casino lobbies in their apps, and Ladbrokes’ App Store listing mentions game shows; game line-ups change, so search ‘Crazy Time’ after logging in. Their welcome offers are for slots: Ladbrokes up to 500 free spins after £10 of slots play (50 a day for 10 days, 10p each, no wagering), PlayOJO 80 wager-free spins on Big Bass Bonanza with a £10 first deposit, and Coral 100 free spins at 10p after a £10 slots bet. 18+, new customers, terms apply.

Frequently asked questions
Is there an official Crazy Time app?
No. Crazy Time is a live game made by Evolution and supplied only to licensed casinos, so you play it inside a casino’s own app or website. Apps in the stores that use the name without being a licensed casino are either unrelated games or imitations, and UK players should avoid them. To check an app, compare the developer name on the store listing with the operator named in the casino’s terms and on the Gambling Commission register. Our guides on how to check a casino app developer and how to read casino app store listings show you how.
What is the RTP of Crazy Time?
Crazy Time has a separate theoretical return for each bet spot, published by Evolution at between roughly 94.3% and 96.1%. The number segments are at the higher end, and the bonus spots are lower, with Pachinko and Crazy Time near the bottom. These are long-term averages across millions of rounds, not what you can expect in a session, and the game’s help screen shows the figures for the version you’re playing. Compare that with single-zero roulette at 97.3%. Our RTP and house edge entries explain how to turn a percentage into a pounds figure.
How often does the Crazy Time bonus land?
There is one Crazy Time segment out of 54, so on average it lands once every 54 spins, a 1.9% chance per spin. Averages can be misleading: because every spin is independent, gaps of several hundred spins are entirely possible, and the bonus can also land twice in a row. Players sometimes chase the bonus by increasing stakes after a long gap, which raises spending without making it more likely. If you notice yourself doing that, take a break. See how casino app games work and our page on reality checks for help.
Can I play Crazy Time for free?
No, not as a live game. Crazy Time is streamed with real bets, and there is no demo version in UK casino apps. Once you are logged in, you can usually open the table and watch a few rounds without placing a bet, which is a useful way to learn how the bonuses look. Remember that UK casinos must verify your age before letting you use any free-to-play game. The free casino apps page explains what genuinely free play exists, and demo mode explains the age-verification rules.
What is the minimum bet on Crazy Time in UK apps?
The minimum is set by the table and shown on its tile or help screen, and it applies per bet spot. It is usually low enough for small stakes, but if you back all eight spots the cost of each round is eight times the minimum. The UK’s £5 and £2 per-spin caps don’t apply because they cover slots only, so check the table maximum too. Choosing one or two spots keeps each round cheaper. Our stake limit entry and how to set a gambling budget on your phone guide help you plan.
What happens in Cash Hunt if I don’t pick a target?
If you don’t tap a target before the countdown ends, the game picks one at random for you, and your result is settled exactly as if you had chosen. This is also what happens if your phone disconnects during the bonus. Your choice has no effect on the expected value, because multipliers are shuffled before you pick, so a random pick is just as good mathematically. Landscape mode makes the wall easier to scan if you like choosing. For bonus mechanics in general, see bonus round, and for connection issues see casino app games won’t load.
Is Crazy Time better on iPhone or Android?
The game is the same on both because it is supplied by Evolution and loaded inside the casino’s app. What makes a difference is the phone: a recent handset with plenty of memory and a strong Wi-Fi connection handles the 3D bonus rounds more smoothly than an older or budget model. On either platform, keep the casino app updated and close other apps before a session. If you’re choosing between devices, our iPhone vs Android casino apps comparison and budget Android phones guide explain the differences.
Can I use a casino bonus on Crazy Time?
Free spins can’t be used on Crazy Time because they only work on the named slots. Bonus money is sometimes allowed, but many offers exclude live game shows or count them at a reduced rate towards wagering, so check the game restrictions before you opt in. Since 19 January 2026 wagering in Great Britain is capped at 10 times the bonus, and offers can’t require you to combine sports betting with casino play. Read live casino app bonuses and game weighting to understand how game shows are treated.
