Jackpot free spins casino apps give bonus spins on slots linked to a jackpot, but in the UK such offers are uncommon and the spins are usually set at a low stake that gives only a small chance of triggering the jackpot. None of our partners names a jackpot slot for its welcome spins. Coral’s 100 spins on selected games are the nearest, with no wagering on winnings. 18+, T&Cs apply.
Most welcome spins are set on standard slots, not progressive jackpot games; check the game list on the offer.
On many progressive slots, the chance of triggering the jackpot rises with your stake, so a 10p spin has a smaller chance than a £1 spin.
Coral (100 spins), Ladbrokes (up to 500) and PlayOJO (80, on Big Bass Bonanza) all use 10p spins with no wagering on winnings. 18+, T&Cs apply.
A jackpot is a long-odds outcome; treat spins as entertainment, not a ticket to one.

What jackpot free spins casino apps actually offer
The phrase covers two different things. The first is free spins set on a jackpot slot, so every bonus spin has some chance, however small, of landing a jackpot. The second is a looser use: spins on an ordinary slot from a casino that also has jackpot games, with the jackpot only reachable once you play with real money or cash winnings.
The first kind is uncommon in UK welcome offers. Jackpot slots set aside part of every stake to fund the prize, and casinos tend to point bonus spins at standard slots instead. When you do see jackpot spins, they are more often an existing-customer promotion, a prize in a draw, or a feature of a specific brand’s own jackpot network.
The three types of jackpot you meet in a casino app
Type
How it works
Can a 10p bonus spin win it?
Fixed jackpot
A set top prize, often a multiple of the stake
Yes, scaled to the 10p stake
Progressive jackpot
A pool that grows with every bet across a network
Sometimes; chance often tied to stake size
Must-drop jackpot
Must pay out by a time or amount, such as daily
Depends on the game’s eligibility rules
A fixed jackpot of, say, 5,000 times the stake is worth £500 on a 10p spin and £5,000 on a £1 spin, so the stake you play at matters. A progressive jackpot is different: the pool is the same size for everyone, but the chance of triggering it often isn’t. A must-drop jackpot adds a deadline but keeps the odds per spin small. Our jackpot glossary entry explains the terms.
Why a 10p spin rarely triggers a progressive jackpot
On many progressive slots, the jackpot trigger is random but weighted by stake: the bigger your bet, the more likely a spin is to start the jackpot round. The game’s help screen says whether this is the case. Bonus spins are almost always at the minimum stake, so even where they are allowed on a progressive, each one has the lowest possible chance.
Some progressives also require a minimum bet, or a specific bet level, to be eligible at all. A spin below it plays the base game normally but can’t win the pool. Before you assume bonus spins can win a jackpot, open the game’s paytable and look for wording on jackpot eligibility; our paytable guide shows where it sits on a phone.
Jackpots are long-odds outcomes. The money that funds them comes from players’ stakes, so jackpot slots often have a lower base-game RTP than similar non-jackpot slots.

Coral
Bet £10 on slots, 100 spins at 10p on selected games; accept within 48 hours; valid 7 days; no wagering
Selected games are listed on the offer; check whether any are jackpot slots
Ladbrokes
Spend £10 on slots, 50 spins a day for 10 days (max 500) at 10p; claim by 23:59 from the inbox; valid 7 days; no wagering
Selected games; check each day’s list
PlayOJO
First deposit £10+, 80 spins at 10p on Big Bass Bonanza; no wagering
Big Bass Bonanza is not a progressive jackpot slot
Because all three pay winnings in cash, you can take spin winnings to a jackpot game at the stake of your choice, within the UK’s £5 per spin limit (£2 if you are 18 to 24). PlayOJO’s App Store listing mentions jackpot slots, and Coral’s and Ladbrokes’ apps carry thousands of games, so check each lobby’s jackpot section. Our Big Bass Bonanza app page covers the game PlayOJO’s spins are set on.
A worked example: from spins to a jackpot game
Say you claim Coral’s 100 spins at 10p: £10 of spins. Suppose they return £8.20 in winnings, paid as cash. You could:
withdraw the £8.20 once your account is verified;
play a progressive such as Mega Moolah or Divine Fortune, if the app carries it, at a stake you choose;
At 20p a spin, £8.20 is 41 spins; at £1 it is 8. A higher stake may raise the chance of a jackpot trigger on some games but uses up the balance faster. There is no right answer; it depends on what you enjoy, and every option loses on average over time.
How to claim spins and find jackpot games in the app
Install Coral Casino: Slots & Games (or Ladbrokes Casino) from the App Store or Google Play.
Register, confirm you are 18 or over, and complete verification.
Deposit with a qualifying debit card; PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafe and prepaid cards don’t qualify.
Stake £10 or more on slots, then accept the spins (Coral: within 48 hours; Ladbrokes: claim each day by 23:59).
Open the offer to see the selected games and play your spins at 10p each.
Check your cash balance for winnings; there is no wagering.
To play jackpot games with that cash, open the lobby’s Jackpots category or search the game by name.
Large wins trigger checks. A casino may review the account, confirm the bonus was claimed within its terms and ask for further identity or source-of-funds documents before paying. That is standard practice, not a sign of a problem. Some bonus terms also cap what spins can win, so read the offer’s terms for any maximum. Our large wins guide explains the process, and UK gambling winnings are not taxed.
Since 31 October 2021, UK casinos can’t let you reverse a withdrawal to keep playing, so once you request a payout, the money stays on its way to you.
Jackpot slots on a phone
Jackpot slots usually show the current pool above the reels, ticking up in real time. On a small screen in portrait mode, that display can push the reels down; landscape often shows the whole game more clearly. Jackpot wheels and bonus rounds may switch orientation automatically. UK slot rules still apply: no autoplay, no turbo, and at least 2.5 seconds per spin. Read our portrait vs landscape guide for layout tips.
Jackpot spin offers to be wary of
Headlines that promise a jackpot chance without saying the spins are at minimum stake.
Spins on a jackpot game where bonus bets aren’t eligible for the pool.
Offers that need a sports bet to unlock casino spins; mixed-product offers have been banned in the UK since 19 January 2026.
Where to find the nearest jackpot free spins casino apps
No partner sets its welcome spins on a named jackpot slot, so Coral’s 100 spins at 10p are the nearest option, followed by Ladbrokes’ up to 500 and PlayOJO’s 80 on Big Bass Bonanza. All three pay spin winnings in cash with no wagering. Over-18s only; terms apply.
None of our partners sets its welcome spins on a named jackpot slot. Coral and Ladbrokes use selected games, listed on the offer, and PlayOJO uses Big Bass Bonanza; all three pay spin winnings in cash with no wagering, and the apps carry jackpot slots you can play with that cash. 18+, T&Cs apply.
Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.

Frequently asked questions
Can free spins win a progressive jackpot?
Sometimes, if the spins are set on a progressive slot and bonus bets are eligible for the pool. Many progressives tie the chance of triggering the jackpot to stake size, so a 10p spin has a small chance. Check the game’s help screen for eligibility rules. Our partners’ welcome spins are on selected standard slots or on Big Bass Bonanza, not named jackpot slots. See our progressive jackpot entry for how pools work.
Which casino apps give free spins on jackpot slots?
None of the five casinos we work with sets its welcome spins on a named jackpot slot. Coral and Ladbrokes use selected games shown on the offer, and PlayOJO uses Big Bass Bonanza. All pay winnings in cash with no wagering, which you can then use on jackpot games. Some casinos run jackpot spin promotions for existing customers. Our jackpot slots apps guide covers where to find the games. Over-18s only; terms apply.
Does stake size affect jackpot chances?
On many progressive slots, yes: the jackpot trigger is random but more likely at higher stakes. On others, every eligible spin has the same chance, or a minimum bet is needed to qualify at all. The game’s paytable or help screen explains which applies. In the UK, slot stakes are capped at £5 a spin for over-25s and £2 for 18–24s. Our stake limits guide explains the caps.
Are jackpot winnings from free spins paid in cash?
With no-wagering spins, winnings go straight to your cash balance, so a jackpot win would too, subject to the casino’s checks and any maximum win stated in the offer terms. Coral, Ladbrokes and PlayOJO all pay spin winnings without wagering. With wagered spins, winnings are bonus funds until wagering is complete. Our no-wagering free spins page compares the offers.
What is a must-drop jackpot?
A must-drop jackpot is a pool that has to pay out by a set time, such as before midnight each day, or before it reaches a set amount. As the deadline nears, the pool is closer to dropping, but every eligible spin still has only a small chance of landing it. Eligibility rules, including minimum stakes, are in the game’s terms. Read our must-drop jackpot entry for more.
Do I pay tax on a jackpot won with free spins?
No. Gambling winnings aren’t taxed for UK players, whether they come from cash play or bonus spins. Interest or investment income earned on the money later may be taxable under normal rules. You don’t need to declare the win itself to HMRC. Large payouts may involve extra verification, such as identity or source-of-funds checks, before the casino releases them, and the money is paid back to your verified payment method. Our winnings tax help page has the detail.
Why do jackpot slots often have a lower RTP?
Because part of every stake goes into the jackpot pool, leaving less for regular wins in the base game. The total RTP may include the jackpot contribution, but most players never win the pool, so their experience reflects the lower base return. The game’s help screen shows the RTP figures. Our guide to finding a slot’s RTP in an app shows where to look on a phone.
Can I use a bonus buy to reach a jackpot round?
Not in Great Britain. Feature buy, or bonus buy, isn’t offered to players here, so jackpot rounds and bonus features can only be triggered during normal play. Some games show the option in other countries, but UK versions remove it. Autoplay and turbo spins are also banned on UK slots. See our bonus buy glossary entry for background.
Are jackpot free spins worth claiming?
They can be, if the terms are clear and you value the spins at face value: 100 spins at 10p is £10 of play, not a jackpot chance worth more. A jackpot is a very unlikely outcome, so judge the offer on its stake, wagering and expiry. No-wagering spins are generally the most transparent. Our free spins guide explains how to value any spin offer. Over-18s only; terms apply.
