The PlayOJO live casino app isn’t a separate download: live dealer tables and game shows sit inside the main PlayOJO app for iPhone, iPad and Android, using the same account and balance as the website. This guide shows where the tables live, how the bet controls behave on a small screen, and how to stop video streams eating your data allowance.
Live tables are part of the main PlayOJO app, listed on the UK App Store as PlayOJO Real Money Casino.
The App Store listing names Crazy Time, Cash or Crash and Grand Roulette among its live games.
Each table sets its own minimum and maximum bet; the £5 and £2 spin caps cover slots, not live tables.
Live video uses far more data and battery than a slot, so Wi-Fi is the sensible default.
The welcome spins are for Big Bass Bonanza only, so they don’t fund live play.

What the PlayOJO live casino app actually is
There is one PlayOJO app per platform, and live casino is a section inside it. On iPhone and iPad the UK App Store lists it as PlayOJO Real Money Casino; on Android the Google Play listing is PlayOJO: Online Casino Games. Both are published by Skill On Net Ltd, the company that holds PlayOJO’s Gambling Commission licence (account 39326).
Because the app is a front end to your PlayOJO account, a live roulette bet placed on your phone comes out of the same balance you would see on a laptop, and any deposit limit you’ve set applies to both. Nothing about live play needs a second login or a separate wallet. If the app isn’t on your phone yet, the PlayOJO download guide covers installing it on each platform.
Its App Store description groups live games alongside slots, bingo, jackpots and table games, and specifically names Crazy Time, Cash or Crash and Grand Roulette, plus an Exclusive Blackjack table described as available around the clock. PlayOJO’s company record lists slots, live casino and bingo as its products. Beyond those named titles, the full line-up changes over time, so treat the lobby itself as the up-to-date list.
Finding live tables in the PlayOJO app
The lobby opens on slots for most people, so the live section takes a tap or two to reach. Layouts get redesigned between versions, but the route generally looks like this:
Open the app and log in with your password, or with Face ID or a fingerprint if you’ve switched biometric login on.
Look for the category bar near the top of the lobby (or the menu icon) and tap the live casino category.
Scroll the tiles: each one usually shows the game name and, on many tables, the current minimum stake.
Tap a tile to open the stream. Give it a few seconds to buffer before you place anything.
Use the search icon and type the game’s name if you already know what you want, such as Crazy Time.
Mark tables you return to as favourites (where the app offers a heart or star) so they appear near the top next time.
Game shows and live tables named in PlayOJO’s listing
Live casino on a phone falls into two broad groups. Classic tables (roulette, blackjack, baccarat) are filmed with real cards and wheels and a dealer reacting to the chat. Game shows mix a presenter, a big wheel or ball machine and bonus rounds. The table below covers the titles PlayOJO’s App Store listing names; other games may well be in the lobby too.
Game
Type
What you bet on

Bet panel sits below the video in portrait; bonus rounds can run for a minute or more
Cash or Crash
Ball-draw game show
How far up a prize ladder you climb before you stop or a losing ball appears
How the bet controls work in portrait and landscape
Live games on phones are usually built to work both ways up, and each has trade-offs. In portrait, the video takes the top third of the screen and a compact betting area sits underneath, with a chip rack along the bottom edge. It’s comfortable one-handed but the betting grid is small, so bets placed near the edge of a number can land on a split by mistake. In landscape, the video fills the screen and the betting layout appears as an overlay during the betting window, which makes roulette grids and game-show segments easier to hit.
Chip selector: pick a chip value first, then tap the bet spot. Tapping the same spot again stacks another chip.
Undo and clear: undo removes the last chip; clear empties every bet you’ve placed this round.
Repeat or double: repeats last round’s bets. Use it with care, because it’s easy to place more than you meant.
Timer: a countdown shows how long the betting window has left. Bets not confirmed in time aren’t accepted.
Balance and bet total: both should be on screen at all times; check them before the window closes.
Chat and sound: usually behind small icons near the video. Muting the presenter saves a little battery.
Our mobile live casino guide covers these controls in more depth, including how to avoid accidental double taps.
Stakes and table limits on PlayOJO live tables
Every live table sets its own minimum and maximum bet, shown on the table information screen and often on the lobby tile. PlayOJO doesn’t publish one figure for all tables, so we won’t quote one: check each table before playing. The UK’s per-spin stake caps (£5 for players aged 25 and over, £2 for those aged 18 to 24) apply to online slots, not to live tables, so a live game’s limits are set by the table itself and by any limits you set on your account.
Rule
What it means on a phone
No autoplay or turbo (online casino games, from 17 January 2025)
You place every round yourself; there’s no button to keep betting automatically
At least 5 seconds per round on non-slot games
Live rounds already run longer than this, so you won’t notice the rule directly
No credit cards (since 14 April 2020)
Deposits come from debit cards and other methods in the cashier, not credit
Slot stake caps of £5 / £2
Apply to slots only, not to live tables
Same account on app and web
Deposit limits, time limits and verification follow you to the live lobby
A worked example helps. If you set yourself a £20 budget for a session of live roulette at £1 a spin on a single number, you have roughly 20 rounds before the budget is gone unless something lands. On even-money bets, the same £20 lasts longer on average, but the single zero still gives the house an edge of about 2.7% on European roulette. The house edge doesn’t change because the dealer is real.
Mobile data, Wi-Fi and battery for PlayOJO live streams
A slot downloads its graphics once and then sends tiny messages back and forth. A live table streams video for as long as it’s open, which is where most of the data goes. On a typical HD stream, an evening at the tables can run into hundreds of megabytes, and leaving a game show open in the background while you do something else keeps using data.
Use Wi-Fi where you can. Home Wi-Fi is usually steadier than 4G, and a dropped stream mid-round is frustrating.
Look for a quality setting in the stream’s menu. Lowering it saves data and helps on weak signals.
Close the table when you stop playing. Swiping back to the lobby ends the stream; minimising the app may not.
Turn the brightness down a notch. The screen and the video decoder are the biggest battery drains during live play.
Avoid public Wi-Fi for logins unless you’re comfortable with the network; our public Wi-Fi guide explains why.
Our casino app data usage page compares slots, live tables and bingo in more detail.
How live games differ from RNG games in the app
Most of PlayOJO’s library is RNG-based: a random number generator decides each spin or hand, and the game’s help screen shows its return to player. Live games use physical equipment instead, such as a real wheel, real cards or a real ball machine, filmed in a studio, with the result read by cameras and software and displayed on your screen. Both types are covered by the same UK licensing rules, and the operator must be able to show that its games are fair.
Two practical differences matter on a phone. First, live rounds take longer, so you see fewer results per hour than on a slot, which can make a budget last longer. Second, a live game depends on your connection: if the stream freezes, the round still finishes in the studio. Bets accepted before the window closed are settled whether or not you saw the result, and your bet history shows the outcome.
Do PlayOJO’s offers and OJOplus apply to live play?
The welcome offer doesn’t. New UK players (18+, not Northern Ireland) who make a first deposit of £10 or more get 80 spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p each, which is £8 of spins, and any winnings are paid as cash with no wagering. Those spins are tied to one slot, so they can’t be used at a live table. Our PlayOJO welcome offer page covers the steps and terms.
OJOplus is the money-back feature PlayOJO describes as paying on every bet. Whether live bets earn it at the same rate as slots isn’t something we could confirm from published sources, so check the OJOplus section of the app before you count on it. Treat any money back as a small reduction in cost, not a reason to bet more.

Keeping live sessions under control on your phone
Live games are sociable and quick to drift into, which is exactly when a limit helps. Three tools are named in the App Store listing: Safe Mate, which tracks the time and money you spend; Take A Break, a cooling-off period that locks the account; and Deposit Limits. PlayOJO’s help pages add time limits and loss limits in Settings. Setting a deposit or time limit before you open a game show is easier than deciding mid-bonus round.
Our PlayOJO safer gambling tools page shows where each setting sits. Live casino is entertainment that costs money, and over time the house edge means most players lose more than they win. If it stops feeling like fun, the National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133, day or night.
Where to play live tables in a licensed UK app
PlayOJO suits players who want live tables and slots in one app with no-wagering terms on its promotions. If you want to compare live lobbies, Coral and Ladbrokes run live casino sections in their own apps under the same UK rules, and our live casino apps round-up compares them. 18+, T&Cs apply to every offer below.
PlayOJO’s 80 spins (18+, first deposit of £10 or more, 10p each on Big Bass Bonanza, no wagering) are for slots, so they sit next to its live tables rather than paying for them. Coral and Ladbrokes also run live tables in their own apps. T&Cs apply.
Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.

No wagering requirements; winnings paid in cash. Cannot be used with any other offer. Only available to players who arrive through the designated offer link. Full T&Cs apply. GamCare.org.uk

Frequently asked questions
Does PlayOJO have a separate live casino app?
No, live casino is a section of the main PlayOJO app. On the UK App Store it’s listed as PlayOJO Real Money Casino and on Google Play as PlayOJO: Online Casino Games, both published by Skill On Net Ltd. Once you’ve installed it and logged in, the live category appears in the lobby alongside slots and bingo. Your balance, limits and verification are shared with the website, so there’s nothing extra to set up. The PlayOJO app review covers the app as a whole.
Which live games does the PlayOJO app have?
PlayOJO’s App Store listing names Crazy Time, Cash or Crash and Grand Roulette among its live games, plus an Exclusive Blackjack table described as available 24/7. PlayOJO’s company record lists live casino as one of its main products. Tables are added and retired over time, so the lobby inside the app is the most reliable list on any given day. For the wider library, including slots and bingo, see our PlayOJO app games page, which explains how to search and filter.
How much data does PlayOJO live casino use?
Far more than slots, because you’re watching a continuous video stream. Exact usage depends on the stream quality and how long the table stays open, but a long evening of HD live play can reach hundreds of megabytes. Using Wi-Fi, lowering the stream quality where the game offers it, and closing the table rather than minimising the app all help. Our Wi-Fi vs mobile data guide explains how to watch your usage on iPhone and Android.
What are the minimum and maximum bets on PlayOJO live tables?
Each table sets its own limits, shown on the table’s information screen and often on the lobby tile. PlayOJO doesn’t publish a single range for every table, so check before you sit down. The £5 per spin limit for over-25s and £2 limit for 18 to 24-year-olds apply to online slots, not live tables. You can still cap your own spending with deposit and loss limits, which our casino app limits guide explains step by step.
Can I use the PlayOJO welcome spins on live casino?
No. The 80 spins (18+, new UK customers excluding Northern Ireland, first deposit of £10 or more) are on Big Bass Bonanza only, at 10p each, with winnings paid as cash and no wagering. Live tables aren’t part of the offer. Once the spins are used, any cash you win is yours to play with or withdraw. Our 80 free spins app page puts the deal in context with other spin offers. T&Cs apply.
Why does the PlayOJO live stream keep freezing?
Usually it’s the connection rather than the app. Live video needs a steady signal, so moving from patchy 4G to Wi-Fi, lowering stream quality or stepping closer to the router normally fixes it. If the picture goes black on every table, update the app and restart your phone. Any bet accepted before the freeze is still settled in the studio, and the result appears in your history. Our guide to how live streams work on mobile explains why.
Is PlayOJO live casino better in portrait or landscape?
It depends on the game. Portrait is comfortable one-handed and keeps the chat visible, but the betting area is small, which makes roulette grids fiddly. Landscape gives the video the full screen and enlarges the betting layout during each betting window, so precise bets are easier. Many players browse in portrait and turn the phone sideways once seated. Our portrait vs landscape guide covers the same trade-off for slots.
Are PlayOJO live games rigged?
There’s no evidence they are, and UK-licensed operators must offer fair games. PlayOJO runs under Skill On Net Limited’s Gambling Commission licence (account 39326). Live games use real wheels, cards and ball machines filmed in a studio, with results read by cameras and software. That said, every game carries a house edge, so losing over time is the expected outcome rather than a sign of foul play. Our are casino apps rigged page explains how fairness is checked.
Can I play PlayOJO live casino on an iPad?
Yes, the App Store listing covers iPad as well as iPhone, with iPadOS 15.0 or later required. A tablet’s bigger screen makes betting grids and game-show segments easier to tap, and landscape mode is comfortable for long sessions on a stand. Data and battery use are similar to a phone because the video stream is the main cost. The iPad casino apps guide covers layout, storage and split-screen on Apple tablets.
What should I do if a live bet wasn’t paid correctly?
Start by checking your bet history in the account area, which shows each round, your bet and the result recorded by the studio. If it still looks wrong, take screenshots with the time and table name visible and contact PlayOJO support through live chat or email. If the complaint isn’t resolved, UK operators must offer a route to an independent dispute service. Our complaints guide sets out the steps and timescales.
