Most PlayOJO app login problems come down to four things: a mistyped or saved-but-outdated password, an app that needs updating, a location check that can’t confirm where you are, or an account restriction such as a time-out. This page shows how to tell which one you have and fix it from your phone, usually in a few taps.
Try logging in on the PlayOJO mobile website: if that works, the problem is the app or your phone, not your account.
Use the password reset link rather than guessing; repeated wrong attempts can lock the account.
Location errors usually mean location access is off, a VPN is running or you are outside Great Britain.
A time-out or self-exclusion you set yourself will stop you logging in until it ends, and can’t be lifted early.
The app and website share one account, so never open a second one to get round a login problem.

PlayOJO app login problems: find your cause first
Before resetting anything, read the exact error message. PlayOJO’s app, like most UK casino apps, gives different messages for a wrong password, a blocked location and a restricted account, and each one needs a different fix. Then try one quick test: open Safari or Chrome, go to the PlayOJO website and log in there. Because the app is only a front end to the same account, a successful web login tells you the account is fine and the fault is on the app side.

Our general casino app login problems page goes wider, but the sections below are specific to PlayOJO and to what you can do on a phone.
‘Incorrect details’ when your password seems right
Passwords are case-sensitive, and phone keyboards love to capitalise the first letter. If you rely on autofill from iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager, the saved entry may be from before you last changed the password, or saved against a slightly different web address. Tap the password field, clear it, and type the password manually with the ‘show’ eye icon switched on if the app offers one.
Check which identifier the login form wants. Some people registered with an email address they no longer use, or with a username they’ve forgotten. If you are unsure which email you used, search your inbox for PlayOJO’s registration or deposit emails; that tells you the address on the account.
Resetting a forgotten PlayOJO password on your phone
A reset is the cleanest fix whenever you are not certain of the password. The process happens through your email, so it’s easiest when your mail app is on the same phone.
Open the PlayOJO app and tap Log in.
Tap the forgotten password link under the password box.
Enter the email address registered to your PlayOJO account and submit it.
Open your mail app and find the reset email; check Junk or Promotions if it’s not in the inbox after a few minutes.
Tap the link in the email; it may open in your browser rather than the app.
Choose a new, unique password and save it in your password manager.
Return to the app and log in with the new password typed in full.
Reset links normally expire after a short time, so use them promptly. If the email never arrives, the address you entered may not be the one on the account, and support will need to help. A password manager stops this happening again, and our casino app password reset guide covers other quirks.
Face ID and fingerprint login on PlayOJO
The PlayOJO store listings don’t mention Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint login, so we can’t confirm the app offers it. If your version does, it will usually appear as a prompt after your first successful password login, or as a toggle in the account or security settings.
Where a casino app supports biometric login, it typically stops working after a password change, a phone update or a change to the fingerprints or faces enrolled on the device. The fix is to log in once with your password and switch the option back on. On iPhone, also check Settings, Face ID & Passcode, Other Apps, and make sure the app is allowed.
Face ID only unlocks credentials stored on your phone. It can’t help if the account itself is locked or excluded. Our Face ID not working page goes through device-level fixes.
Locked, suspended or restricted PlayOJO accounts
A locked account is different from a forgotten password. Locks usually follow several failed login attempts, a security concern such as a login from an unusual device, or a pending review where the operator needs more information, for example during verification.
Restrictions you chose yourself also stop logins. The App Store listing names Take A Break among PlayOJO’s safer gambling tools, and UK operators must also honour GAMSTOP. A time-out or self-exclusion is designed to be firm: it can’t be lifted early, even by support, and that is a deliberate protection. If you are locked out by a break you set, the app is working as intended.
Security lock: wait for any stated period, then reset your password or contact support.
Verification hold: upload the documents requested; logins or withdrawals resume once they are approved.
Time-out or self-exclusion: the account reopens only when the period ends, and self-exclusion usually needs a request from you afterwards.
GAMSTOP: registration blocks all UK-licensed online casinos for the period you chose; see GAMSTOP.
Our account locked page explains the different types of lock in more detail.
Location checks that block a login
The App Store listing states that the PlayOJO app may use your location even when it is not open. UK-licensed apps check location to confirm you are somewhere they are allowed to offer gambling. If the check fails, you may see a location error at login or when opening a game.
Turn off any VPN or private relay service; casino apps treat them as hiding your location.
On iPhone, go to Settings, Privacy & Security, Location Services, PlayOJO, and choose While Using the App or Always.
On Android, go to Settings, Apps, PlayOJO, Permissions, Location, and allow it; turn on Use precise location.
Switch on Wi-Fi even if you are using mobile data, as it helps the phone pinpoint location.
Your PlayOJO login is the same everywhere: the iPhone app, the Android app, an iPad and the website. Change your password on one and it changes on all of them. That’s also why a second account is never the answer to a login problem. UK operators allow one account per person, and duplicates are usually closed, sometimes with winnings withheld under the terms.
You can be logged in on more than one device, though some apps end the older session when you sign in elsewhere. If you keep getting logged out of your phone, check that nobody else is using your details on another device, and change your password if in doubt. Our guide to using a casino app on two devices explains how sessions work.

Keeping your PlayOJO login secure
A unique password matters more for a casino account than most, because it holds money and personal documents. Don’t reuse your email password, and switch on two-factor authentication if the account settings offer it. Never share your login, even with family; our page on sharing a casino app account explains why it breaks the terms.
If you see a login you don’t recognise, a changed email address or a withdrawal you didn’t request, change your password immediately and contact PlayOJO. Our guide on what to do if your casino account is hacked lists the steps in order.
When to contact PlayOJO support about logging in
Contact support if a password reset email never arrives, if the account says locked or closed and you didn’t set a break, or if you suspect someone else has accessed it. Use the help or contact option in the app or on the website; our PlayOJO customer service page covers the routes available.
Have ready the email on the account, your full name and date of birth, the exact error text, your phone model and app version, and roughly when the problem started. A screenshot of the error saves a lot of back-and-forth. Support will never ask for your password, so don’t give it to anyone claiming to be from PlayOJO.

Frequently asked questions
Why won’t the PlayOJO app let me log in?
Usually it’s a password issue, an outdated app, a failed location check or an account restriction. Read the error message carefully, then try logging in on the PlayOJO website in your phone’s browser. If the website works, update or reinstall the app; if it doesn’t, reset your password or contact support. Location errors point to permissions or a VPN, and messages about closure often reflect a time-out or self-exclusion. Our PlayOJO app not working page covers wider app faults.
How do I reset my PlayOJO password in the app?
Tap Log in, then the forgotten password link, and enter the email on your account. PlayOJO sends a reset link to that address; open it, set a new password and return to the app. The link may open in your browser, which is normal. If no email arrives within a few minutes, check junk and promotions folders, and make sure you used the right address. Our casino app password reset guide covers what to do when the email doesn’t arrive at all.
Does the PlayOJO app support Face ID or fingerprint login?
The App Store and Google Play listings don’t mention biometric login, so we can’t confirm it. Check the app’s settings or watch for a prompt after you log in with your password. If your version offers it and it stops working, log in with your password once and switch it back on, and confirm the app is allowed under Face ID settings on iPhone. Our guide on enabling Face ID on casino apps shows where these settings usually sit.
Why is my PlayOJO account locked?
Accounts are usually locked after several wrong password attempts, a security alert, or a review where PlayOJO needs more information such as identity documents. A time-out or self-exclusion will also stop logins. Security locks are usually cleared by resetting your password or speaking to support, while verification holds lift once documents are approved. Safer gambling breaks can’t be ended early. Our account locked page explains each type and how long it typically lasts.
Can I log in to PlayOJO from abroad?
You may be able to sign in, but you shouldn’t expect to play, because PlayOJO’s UK licence covers customers in Great Britain and the app checks your location. Using a VPN to appear in the UK breaks the terms and can lead to the account being closed with winnings withheld. You can usually still view your balance or contact support. If you travel often, read our guide on using casino apps abroad before you go.
Is my PlayOJO app login the same as the website?
Yes. PlayOJO uses one account across the app and website, so the same email or username and password work on both. Your balance, limits and verification status are shared too. If you change your password on the website, use the new one in the app. This also means you should never create a second account on your phone; UK rules allow one account per person per operator. See our app vs mobile site comparison for the practical differences.
Why does the PlayOJO app keep logging me out?
Frequent log-outs usually come from session timeouts after inactivity, Android battery optimisation closing the app in the background, or logging in on another device. Clearing app data, or a phone that’s low on storage, can do it too. On Android, set the app’s battery usage to Unrestricted; on both platforms, keep the app updated. If it happens even while you are active and you haven’t logged in elsewhere, change your password as a precaution. See session timeout for how timeouts work.
Can I log in while on a PlayOJO time-out?
No, a time-out blocks access to your account for the period you chose, and it can’t be shortened. That applies to the app and website alike. It’s there so a break is a real break. When it ends, you can log in as normal. If you want a longer break, self-exclusion or registering with GAMSTOP covers more ground. Our guide on taking a time-out on a casino app explains the options and how they differ.
Who should I contact if I can’t get into my PlayOJO account?
Contact PlayOJO’s customer support through the help section in the app or on the website. Give them your registered email, full name, date of birth, the exact error and your device details, plus a screenshot if you can. They will never need your password. If you believe someone has accessed your account, say so straight away so they can secure it. Our PlayOJO customer service page explains the contact routes and what to expect.
