Sky Bet casino app

There is no single Sky Bet casino app: Sky Bet’s own app is a sports betting app, and Sky Betting & Gaming publishes its casino games through separate apps, chiefly Sky Vegas and Sky Casino. Online casino games under the Sky names, including the trading name “sky bet games”, are licensed to Bonne Terre Gaming Limited, UKGC account 65519. Here is how the apps and licences fit together.

Key takeaways

  • The Sky Bet App Store listing sits in the Sports category; Sky’s casino games live mainly in the Sky Vegas and Sky Casino apps.
  • Bonne Terre Gaming Limited (UKGC 65519) holds remote casino and bingo licences for sky bet games, sky vegas, sky casino, sky bingo and sky poker.
  • The older licensee, Bonne Terre Limited (account 38718), surrendered its licences on 31 October 2025.
  • Based in Leeds, Sky Betting & Gaming has been part of Flutter Entertainment since 2020.

Is there a Sky Bet casino app?

Not as a standalone download with that name. Sky Betting & Gaming’s developer page on the App Store lists seven apps, and the one called Sky Bet – Sports Betting is in the Sports category with a description focused on betting. Casino players are served by Sky Vegas: Casino Games (slots) and Sky Casino Blackjack, Roulette (tables and live dealers), alongside separate bingo and poker apps.

The Gambling Commission register does list a trading name called “sky bet games” under the casino licence, so games are sold under the Sky Bet name too. Where those games appear inside the Sky Bet app can change between updates, so check the app’s menu on your phone. If you want a dedicated casino lobby, the Sky Vegas or Sky Casino apps are the purpose-built options.

What the Sky Bet app listing shows

Apple’s listing for Sky Bet shows an 18+ rating, a requirement of iOS 15.1 or later, compatibility with iPhone and iPad, and a size of about 170 MB at the time of checking. The description mentions Touch ID and Face ID login. Its privacy label lists purchases, contact info, browsing history, identifiers and usage data as used to track you, and a longer list, including financial info and location, as linked to you.

The seller on the Sky Bet listing is shown as Bonne Terre Ltd, and the description refers to Bonne Terre Limited, an Alderney company. The UKGC register shows that Bonne Terre Limited’s British licences were surrendered on 31 October 2025, so the listing text may lag behind the licence change. Before depositing, read the licence statement inside the app and check it on the register.

Who holds the licence for Sky’s casino games

For online casino and bingo, the register shows Bonne Terre Gaming Limited, account 65519, with remote casino and bingo licences active since 18 November 2024. Its five active trading names are sky bet games, sky bingo, sky casino, sky poker and sky vegas. It has no regulatory actions on record.

Before that, Sky’s products were licensed to Bonne Terre Limited, account 38718, which held casino, betting and software licences from 2014 until it surrendered them on 31 October 2025. A £1.17m penalty was imposed on that company in March 2022 after a Sky Vegas marketing email reached customers who had self-excluded or opted out of marketing.

We couldn’t confirm which company now holds the remote betting licence for Sky Bet itself, so check the licence statement in the Sky Bet app and search it on the register. Our guide on checking a casino licence shows how.

Sky Bet’s background and ownership

Sky Bet grew out of BSkyB’s purchase of Sports Internet Group in 2000; its bookmaking arm was rebranded Sky Bet in 2002, and Sky Bet Vegas, later Sky Vegas, followed in March 2003. Sky sold a majority stake to CVC Capital Partners in 2015, The Stars Group bought the business in 2018, and Flutter Entertainment took ownership in 2020. The Sky name is used under licence from Sky. Most operations run from Leeds. Flutter also owns Paddy Power and tombola.

Which Sky app to download for casino games

  1. Decide what you mainly play: slots (Sky Vegas), table and live dealer games (Sky Casino) or sport with occasional games (Sky Bet).
  2. Search the App Store or Google Play for that app by its full name.
  3. Check the developer is Sky Betting & Gaming and the rating is 18+.
  4. Install and log in with the same Sky details you use elsewhere, if you already have an account.
  5. Find the licence statement and match it to account 65519 for casino games.
  6. Set deposit limits and turn on Face ID or fingerprint login before playing.

Running two or three Sky apps on one phone takes storage and multiplies notifications. Our guide to running more than one casino app covers how to keep that manageable.

UK rules that apply in every Sky app

Whichever Sky app you open, UK rules are the same. Slots have no autoplay or turbo and take at least 2.5 seconds per spin, with stakes capped at £5 per spin (or £2 if you are aged 18 to 24). Table games run at least 5 seconds per round. Since 19 January 2026, offers can’t mix sport and casino, and bonus wagering is capped at 10x. See our UK casino app rule changes for 2026.

Safer gambling across the Sky apps

Deposit limits, time-outs, reality checks and self-exclusion sit in each app’s account menu. Because the Sky apps share a login, check whether a limit applies across all products or one at a time, and set it accordingly. GAMSTOP blocks every UK-licensed operator at once. Frequently asked questions

Does Sky Bet have a casino app?

Not under the Sky Bet name as a separate download. The Sky Bet app on the App Store is a sports betting app. Sky Betting & Gaming publishes its casino games mainly through Sky Vegas, for slots, and Sky Casino, for blackjack, roulette and live dealers. The register also lists a “sky bet games” trading name, so some games are sold under the Sky Bet banner; check the app’s menu for what currently appears. Our Sky Vegas app profile covers the main slots app.

Who holds the licence for Sky casino games?

Bonne Terre Gaming Limited, UK Gambling Commission account 65519, holds remote casino and bingo licences that have been active since 18 November 2024. Its trading names are sky bet games, sky vegas, sky casino, sky bingo and sky poker. The earlier licensee, Bonne Terre Limited, surrendered its licences on 31 October 2025. Always match the licence statement in the app to the register. Our licence checking guide shows the steps on a phone.

Can I use one Sky account for Sky Bet, Sky Vegas and Sky Casino?

Sky’s apps share a login, so you can normally use the same username and password across Sky Bet, Sky Vegas and Sky Casino. How balances and limits are shared between products can vary, so check the account settings in each app. Since 19 January 2026, promotions can’t require play on one product to unlock another, so a sports bet won’t unlock casino rewards. Our page on using a casino app on two devices also explains logins across phones.

Why does the Sky Bet listing still mention Bonne Terre Limited?

App Store descriptions are written by the developer and aren’t always updated at the same time as licence changes. The Sky Bet listing names Bonne Terre Ltd as seller and refers to Bonne Terre Limited in its licence text, while the register shows that company’s British licences were surrendered on 31 October 2025. The licence statement inside the app is the better reference. If in doubt, contact customer service. Our guide on reading casino app store listings explains each section.

Who owns Sky Bet?

Flutter Entertainment has owned Sky Betting & Gaming since 2020, after buying The Stars Group, which had acquired the business in 2018. Before that, Sky sold a majority stake to CVC Capital Partners in 2015. The Sky name and logo are used under licence from Sky. The business is based in Leeds. Flutter’s other UK brands include Paddy Power, Betfair and tombola. See our Betfair app profile for another Flutter brand.

What iPhone do I need for the Sky Bet app?

The App Store listing for Sky Bet says it needs iOS 15.1 or later and runs on iPhone and iPad, with a size of around 170 MB at the time of checking. Sky Vegas and Sky Casino have their own requirements, so check each listing before downloading. If your phone can’t update, the mobile site in Safari uses the same account. Face ID and Touch ID login are mentioned in the Sky Bet listing. Our Face ID setup guide explains how to turn it on.

Has Sky Betting & Gaming been fined?

Bonne Terre Limited, the previous Sky licensee, was fined £1.17m by the Gambling Commission in March 2022 after a Sky Vegas promotional email in November 2021 reached customers who had self-excluded or opted out of marketing. The current casino licensee, Bonne Terre Gaming Limited, has no regulatory actions on its register entry. Full details of any case are published on the register. Our UKGC glossary entry explains how enforcement works.

How do I take a break from all the Sky apps?

Use the time-out or self-exclusion option in any Sky app’s account menu, and check whether it applies across every Sky product. For a block covering every UK-licensed online operator, register with GAMSTOP, which is free. You can also add a gambling block through your bank and install blocking software on your phone. Our guide to taking a time-out on a casino app walks through the steps.
