Siberian Storm app play means opening IGT’s white-tiger slot inside a UK casino app, because there is no separate real-money download. Its diamond-shaped 3-4-5-4-3 grid pays 720 ways in both directions, and its RTP varies from 92.52% to 96% depending on the version a casino picks, so checking the rules screen matters more here than on most slots.
Siberian Storm is played inside licensed casino apps, on the same account as the website.
The 3-4-5-4-3 grid pays 720 ways, counted both left to right and right to left.
RTP depends on the version: anything from 92.52% to 96%, shown in the game’s rules.
Medium volatility, with UK limits of £5 a spin (25+) or £2 (18–24) and no autoplay.

Siberian Storm app: how you play it on a phone
IGT, the Las Vegas-based supplier, licenses Siberian Storm to casino operators rather than publishing it as an app of its own. In the UK you find it in the lobby of licensed casino apps that carry IGT games, where it runs in an embedded HTML5 window. Your balance, limits and verification are the same as on the casino’s website.
Social-casino apps on the stores sometimes include IGT-style tiger games for virtual coins. Those have no cash prizes and are not the same product, so check that any app you download is published by a UK licence holder. Our real money casino apps guide explains the difference.
How the 3-4-5-4-3 grid fits a phone screen
Most slots are rectangles; Siberian Storm is a diamond. Reel one holds three symbols, reel two four, the middle reel five, then four and three again. On a phone held sideways the shape fits comfortably, with the snowy background filling the gaps at the corners. Held upright, the middle reel sets the height, so the grid stays narrow and symbols are smaller.

720 ways in both directions, with a worked example
Multiply the symbols on each reel and you get the number of ways to win: 3 x 4 x 5 x 4 x 3 = 720. A winning way needs matching symbols on adjacent reels, but they can sit in any row. IGT also counts wins from right to left, so three matching symbols on reels five, four and three pay as well as three on reels one, two and three.
Here is how that plays out. Suppose a white tiger lands once on reel one, twice on reel two and once on reel three. That is 1 x 2 x 1 = 2 ways of three tigers, so the paytable value for three tigers is paid twice. If a second tiger appears on reel three, it becomes 1 x 2 x 2 = 4 ways. The info screen shows each symbol’s value at your stake, so you can see the effect in pounds; our paytable guide explains the layout.
Both-directions pays mean the paytable values are lower per way than on a one-direction slot. More frequent wins do not mean a higher return.
Siberian Storm wilds and free spins
The game’s logo acts as the wild, substituting for regular symbols to complete ways. The free spins feature is triggered by a special bonus symbol: in the standard rules it has to appear on all five reels at once, which is what makes the feature fairly uncommon despite medium volatility. Extra bonus symbols during the feature can award more spins.
IGT has released Siberian Storm in more than one configuration over the years, and the number of spins awarded, the retrigger rules and any feature payouts can differ between them. The rules screen in your casino’s version is the authority. See our free spins glossary entry for how in-game spins differ from casino bonus spins.
Which Siberian Storm RTP version is your app running?
Siberian Storm has one of the widest RTP ranges of any well-known slot. Versions run from 92.52% to 96%, and the casino chooses. That gap is bigger than it sounds.

Open Siberian Storm in your casino app.
Tap the menu, “i” or settings icon (usually in a bottom corner).
Choose Rules, Help or Game Info.
Scroll to the section mentioning return to player, theoretical return or RTP.
If the figure is near the bottom of the range, consider whether another app or another game suits you better.
Medium volatility and 720 ways tend to produce frequent small returns, often less than the stake, with the bigger results coming from the free spins. Under UK rules a return smaller than your stake can’t be celebrated as a win, so you will see a modest amount added to your balance without fanfare.
£10 at 20p a spin: 50 spins before any returns.
£25 at 50p a spin: 50 spins, the same length of session at more than double the cost.
£50 at £1 a spin: 50 spins; at the 92.52% version the theoretical cost is about £3.74.
Choose the stake for the length of session you want, not for the size of a possible win. A deposit limit set in the app keeps the budget fixed.
UK rules on Siberian Storm in casino apps
Every spin in a UK app lasts at least 2.5 seconds, there is no autoplay or turbo, and the stake is capped at £5 a spin for players aged 25 and over or £2 for those aged 18–24. The game has no bonus buy, and none would be allowed in Great Britain anyway. Read more on our UK stake limits page.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a Siberian Storm app?
There is no standalone real-money Siberian Storm app in the UK. IGT supplies the game to licensed casino operators, and you play it inside their apps or mobile sites using your casino balance. Store apps that show tiger slots for virtual coins are social casinos with no cash prizes, and they are not the same game. To play for real money, install a UK-licensed casino app and search for Siberian Storm in its lobby. Our how to download casino apps guide shows how to confirm the app’s developer.
What is the RTP of Siberian Storm?
The RTP depends on the version, ranging from 92.52% to 96%. The casino chooses the version, and the figure in use is shown in the game’s rules or information screen. Over £100 staked, the 96% version keeps £4 on average and the 92.52% version about £7.48, so the difference is meaningful for regular players. These are long-run averages and don’t predict a single session. Check the rules screen before playing, and see our RTP range entry for why one game can have several versions.
How does 720 ways work in Siberian Storm?
The grid has 3, 4, 5, 4 and 3 symbols on its five reels, and multiplying those gives 720 possible ways. A win needs matching symbols on adjacent reels in any row, and Siberian Storm counts them from left to right and from right to left. If two of the same symbol land on one reel within a winning sequence, the number of ways doubles and the win is paid for each way. The paytable shows the value of each symbol at your stake. Our ways to win entry explains the idea with more examples.
How do you get free spins on Siberian Storm?
Free spins come from the bonus symbol, which in the standard rules needs to land on all five reels at the same time. That requirement makes the feature less frequent than in many slots, despite the game’s medium volatility. More bonus symbols during the round can add spins. IGT has released more than one configuration of the game, so the exact number of spins and retrigger rules are shown in your casino’s rules screen. There is no feature buy in the UK, so the round always has to land naturally. See our bonus round entry.
Is Siberian Storm better in portrait or landscape?
Landscape suits most phones better. The diamond-shaped grid has a five-symbol middle reel, so in portrait the whole grid shrinks to fit the screen’s width and the symbols become small. Turning the phone sideways gives the reels more room. Large phones and open foldables can work well in portrait because of their extra width. If the game does not rotate, check that rotation lock is off in Control Centre on iPhone or quick settings on Android. Our portrait vs landscape guide compares the two across popular games.
What is the maximum bet on Siberian Storm in the UK?
The maximum is £5 a spin if you are 25 or older and £2 a spin if you are 18 to 24. These are legal limits for online slots in Great Britain, introduced in April and May 2025, and every licensed app applies them automatically from your date of birth. The bet control in the game simply stops at your limit. Minimum stakes are set by each casino and shown on the stake panel. For more detail, including what happens if your birthday moves you up a band, see our UK stake limits guide.
Is Siberian Storm high volatility?
No, Siberian Storm is rated medium volatility. The 720 ways in both directions produce frequent small returns, many of them less than the stake, while bigger results usually come from the free spins feature. Medium volatility does not make the game cheaper over time; that depends on the RTP version, which ranges from 92.52% to 96%. It mainly affects how bumpy a session feels. If you prefer fewer but larger results, higher-volatility slots exist, but they also run budgets down faster. Our volatility entry explains the trade-off.
Can I play a Siberian Storm demo?
In UK casino apps a demo is only available after you register and verify your age, a rule since May 2019. Once verified, many apps show a demo or practice button on the game tile, letting you spin with play credits that have no cash value. A demo is useful for seeing how the diamond grid and both-direction pays work on your phone. It cannot show how a real-money session will go, because results are random. If you don’t see the option, our demo mode verification page explains why.
Why does Siberian Storm keep showing small wins below my stake?
With 720 ways in both directions, many spins return a small amount that is less than you staked, so your balance still goes down. UK rules stop games from celebrating these returns with win sounds or animations, which is why they appear quietly. Your session net position, shown on screen in UK apps, tells you whether you are up or down overall. Watching that figure rather than individual returns gives a more accurate picture of a session. The net position display entry explains the requirement.
Who makes Siberian Storm?
Siberian Storm is made by IGT, a long-established slot supplier headquartered in Las Vegas. Its gaming and digital businesses have been owned by Apollo-managed funds since 1 July 2025 and combined with Everi. IGT is also behind Cleopatra and Da Vinci Diamonds, two other titles that are widely available in UK casino apps. Many IGT slots began as land-based machines before being converted for online and mobile play. Our IGT provider page covers the studio’s best-known mobile slots and how to find them in an app.
