Casino apps for Samsung Galaxy Tab models install from Google Play, so Tab S, Tab S FE and Tab A tablets can run licensed UK apps on One UI. Samsung adds features you won’t find on other tablets, including DeX desktop mode, the S Pen, Secure Folder and Samsung Kids, and each changes how a casino app behaves or who can reach it.
Install UK casino apps from Google Play; Samsung’s Galaxy Store isn’t where licensed operators publish them.
DeX turns apps into resizable windows; keep the casino window large enough to read balance and stake.
Samsung Kids and Secure Folder keep a casino app away from children on a shared tablet.
Samsung Internet and Chrome both run casino websites if an app won’t install.

Do casino apps work on a Samsung Galaxy Tab?
Yes. Galaxy Tab tablets sold in the UK include Google Play, and licensed casino operators publish their real-money apps on the British Play Store. Google only lets real-money gambling apps appear there from Gambling Commission licensees it has approved, so a Galaxy Tab sees the same apps as a Galaxy phone.
No app is certified for a specific Tab. The operator sets a minimum Android version and may decide whether to offer its app on tablets at all; Google Play checks both when you open the listing. If an app isn’t offered for your Tab, the casino’s website gives you the same account. For general tablet advice, see casino apps for Android tablets; for Samsung phones, see Samsung Galaxy.

Range
Position
What it means for casino apps
Galaxy Tab S
Premium
Bright AMOLED screens, S Pen included, full DeX; smooth live dealer streams
Galaxy Tab S FE
Upper mid-range
S Pen included on many models, large screens; comfortable for slots and live tables
Galaxy Tab A
Budget
Apps run; lobbies load more slowly, no S Pen, fewer Samsung extras
Galaxy Tab Active
Rugged, mainly for business
Often managed by an employer; check work device rules before installing
Many Tabs come in Wi-Fi-only and mobile data (LTE or 5G) versions. Live dealer games stream video constantly, so on a SIM plan they use far more data than slots; casino app data usage explains the difference. If your Tab belongs to an employer, read casino apps on a work phone first, as the same rules apply to work tablets.
Google Play or Galaxy Store: installing on a Galaxy Tab
Galaxy Tabs come with two stores. Galaxy Store is Samsung’s own and is good for Samsung apps and themes, but licensed UK operators publish their real-money casino apps on Google Play.
Open the Play Store (not Galaxy Store) and tap your profile picture to confirm you’re in your own UK Google account.
Type the casino’s name into the search bar and tap its listing.
Check the developer name against the licence holder named on the casino’s website.
Tap Install. If you see ‘not available for your device’, the operator may have limited the app to phones.
Open the app, log in or register, and complete the age and ID checks.
Set a deposit limit in the app’s safer gambling menu before you deposit.
DeX turns a Galaxy Tab S or Tab S FE into a desktop-style screen with a taskbar and resizable windows, especially with a keyboard cover. Casino apps can run inside a DeX window, but not every app resizes gracefully. Some reload when you change the window size, and some stay phone-shaped. As on a foldable, a reload doesn’t affect a bet that’s already placed, because results are recorded on the operator’s server.
Keep the casino window large enough that your balance, stake and net position are easy to read.
If a slot looks cramped, maximise the window or leave DeX for that session.
A mouse click works like a tap; UK slots still need a separate click for every spin, with at least 2.5 seconds between spins and no autoplay.
The website in a browser window often fits DeX better than the app.
Running a casino window beside streaming or work makes it easy to lose track of time. Reality checks in the casino account help; see how to use reality checks and the UK slot design rules.
Using the S Pen in casino games
The S Pen works like a precise finger, so it can tap spin buttons, chips and betting spots. It’s handy on live roulette, where the betting grid has small areas such as splits and corners, and a pen tip is more accurate than a thumb. Hovering features that preview content don’t interact with casino games in any special way. Check your bet slip before betting closes; most live games have an undo or clear button. Our how to play roulette on mobile guide explains the betting grid.
Samsung Kids, Secure Folder and shared tablets
Galaxy Tabs are often family tablets. Samsung builds in tools that keep a casino app away from children and other users.
Tool
What it does
Use it for
Samsung Kids
A locked children’s area with approved apps; needs your PIN to exit
Handing the tablet to a child
Secure Folder
A separate encrypted space with its own lock
Keeping the casino app and its login apart
Multiple users
Separate profiles where supported
Other adults using the tablet
Google Play parental controls
Blocks apps above an age rating on a child’s account
Children’s own Google accounts
Putting a casino app inside Secure Folder means you sign in to it there separately, and it isn’t visible from the main home screen. It doesn’t change your account or limits. Real-money casino apps carry a PEGI 18 rating on Google Play, and under-18s must never use a gambling account. See casino apps on shared family devices.
Samsung Internet or Chrome for casino websites
If an app isn’t offered for your Tab, or you’d rather not install one, the casino’s website runs in Samsung Internet or Chrome. Both may show the desktop version of sites on a large tablet; switch to the mobile version from the browser menu if buttons are too small in portrait. Add the site to your home screen so it opens in one tap. You’ll see the same balance, offers and limits as in the app. Read app vs mobile site to weigh the two.
Fingerprint login, Samsung Pass and payments
Many Tab S models have a fingerprint reader, either in the power key or under the screen, and Samsung Pass can fill in saved logins with a fingerprint. Don’t save your casino password in Samsung Pass or a browser on a tablet other people use. If the casino app offers biometric login or two-factor authentication, turn them on.
Online Google Pay doesn’t need NFC, so it works in casino cashiers that accept it even on a tablet. Coral and Ladbrokes list Google Pay with a £5 minimum deposit. Debit cards, PayPal and Pay by Bank are common alternatives, and credit cards are banned for gambling in Great Britain. Some methods don’t qualify for welcome offers: see payment method exclusions.

Frequently asked questions
Can I download casino apps on a Samsung Galaxy Tab?
Yes, from Google Play. Galaxy Tabs sold in the UK include Play, where licensed operators publish their real-money apps. Search the brand, check the developer name and install. Some operators limit their apps to phones, in which case Play shows them as unavailable for your tablet, and older Tabs may be below an app’s minimum Android version. The casino’s website is the fallback and uses the same account. See Android casino apps for how the Play Store handles gambling apps.
Are casino apps in the Samsung Galaxy Store?
Licensed UK operators publish their real-money casino apps on Google Play rather than Galaxy Store, so that’s the place to look. Galaxy Store may show social casino games that don’t involve real money, or nothing relevant at all. If you find something calling itself a UK casino app outside Google Play, be cautious: check the developer against the UKGC register and the casino’s own website. Our guide on how to check a casino licence explains how.
Can I play casino games in Samsung DeX?
Yes, casino apps and websites can run in DeX windows on Tab S and Tab S FE models. Some apps don’t resize smoothly and may reload or stay phone-shaped; maximising the window before you start a game avoids most issues. A reload never affects a bet already placed, as results are recorded on the casino’s server. The website in a browser window often suits DeX better than the app. See casino app speed and performance for other tips.
How do I hide a casino app on my Galaxy Tab from my children?
Use Samsung Kids whenever you hand the tablet to a child: it shows only apps you’ve approved and needs your PIN to exit. For extra separation, install the casino app inside Secure Folder, which has its own lock. Log out after playing and don’t save your casino password in the browser or Samsung Pass. On a child’s own Google account, Play’s parental controls can block 18-rated apps. Read talking to someone about gambling apps if you’re worried about a family member.
Is the S Pen useful for live roulette?
It can be. The S Pen is more precise than a fingertip, which helps when placing chips on small areas of a roulette grid, such as splits, streets and corners. It doesn’t change the game in any other way: the odds and house edge are the same whatever you tap with. Always check your bets on the slip before the betting timer ends and use undo if a chip lands wrongly. Our roulette apps page explains the main bets and their published odds.
Why can’t I find a casino app for my Galaxy Tab on Google Play?
The usual causes are that the operator has limited the app to phones, your Tab’s Android version is below the app’s minimum, your Google account is set to another country, or a VPN is on. Check each in turn, starting with switching off any VPN and confirming your Play country. If the app still doesn’t appear, use the casino’s website, which offers the same account and offers. Our help page on casino apps not on Google Play covers each cause.
Does a Galaxy Tab A run casino apps well?
Usually well enough for slots and table games, though lobbies with many thumbnails load more slowly than on a Tab S. Live dealer games depend more on your Wi-Fi than on the tablet’s chip, so a Tab A close to the router can stream smoothly. Free up storage, keep One UI and the app updated, and close other apps before a live session. No casino app is certified for a specific Tab. See casino apps for budget Android phones for similar advice on cheaper hardware.
Can I use Google Pay in a casino app on a Galaxy Tab?
Yes, at casinos that accept it. Online Google Pay doesn’t need NFC, so it works on Tabs without contactless hardware, using a debit card stored in Google Wallet and your screen lock to confirm. Coral and Ladbrokes list Google Pay with a £5 minimum deposit. Credit cards, including in a wallet, can’t be used for gambling in Great Britain. Check whether your method qualifies for a welcome offer before depositing. Our Google Pay casino apps page has more.
