Thunderstruck app version: a 2004 slot on a 2026 phone
Thunderstruck launched in 2004, three years before the first iPhone, as a Microgaming desktop game. When smartphones took over, the studio rebuilt its best-known titles to run in mobile browsers and casino apps, and Thunderstruck was one of them. In 2022 Games Global took over Microgaming’s game portfolio, so that is the name you will usually see on the tile today.
Its sequel, Thunderstruck II, is the more feature-rich game, but the original remains popular for exactly the opposite reason: there is very little to learn. As with any real-money slot, there is no standalone Thunderstruck app; it opens from a licensed casino app’s lobby.

The mobile version keeps the dark stormy backdrop and Norse symbols on a 5×3 grid. With only 15 symbol positions and large artwork, it is one of the easiest slots to read on a small screen. Thor wild: substitutes and doubles
Thor himself is the wild symbol. He replaces any symbol except the rams scatter, and any line win that includes a Thor wild is doubled. Five Thors on a line is also the top regular payout. Because there are only nine lines, wilds have a visible effect: you will often see a doubled win flash up on a single line.
Rams scatter and tripled free spins
The rams are the scatter, paying in any position. Three or more anywhere on the reels trigger 15 free spins, and during the round every win is tripled. Land three or more rams again during free spins and the round retriggers with more spins.
Add the Thor wild doubling to the free spins tripling and a wild-assisted win during the bonus is multiplied by six. That combination is where the game’s larger results come from. It is still a medium volatility slot, though, so expect plenty of free spins rounds that pay a modest amount.
