Casino app terms and conditions are long, dense, and deliberately difficult to read. Here are the clauses that actually matter and what to look for before you accept anything.
Wagering requirements
The most important term on any bonus offer. Post-January 2026 UKGC cap, this must be 10x or below at any licensed UK operator. Check: (1) is the wagering applied to the bonus only, or the bonus plus deposit? (2) are winnings from free spins subject to separate wagering? (3) which games contribute at what percentage?
Maximum withdrawal from bonus winnings
Most bonuses cap the amount you can withdraw from bonus winnings. Typical caps are £50 to £100 on a £50 welcome bonus. This matters significantly if you have a large win during wagering — you may not be able to withdraw all of it regardless of how much you win.
Expiry dates
Bonuses and free spins expire if not used within a set period — typically 7 to 30 days after activation. If you do not complete wagering within the expiry window, the bonus and any associated winnings are forfeited. Some bonuses start counting down the moment they are credited, not from when you first use them.
Game restrictions
Many bonuses are only valid on specific slots and explicitly exclude live casino, progressive jackpots, and table games from contributing to wagering. Check that the games you actually enjoy are eligible, otherwise you will be forced to play titles you have no interest in to clear the requirement.
Verification requirements
Some operators require KYC verification before you can use a bonus, not just before you withdraw. Complete verification before activating any welcome offer to avoid complications. Related: KYC Verification Guide
